Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not impressed I’m not impressed .most of the recipes I could get on Pinterest at no charge. It’s a big book maybe might to great for a younger person learning how to cook. For me it was a waste of money and space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice variety... I just received this book and like all cookbooks I get, I couldn't wait to tear into it. To answer a lot of questions this is a spiral bound book, and the offer for the free magazine subscription is inside the front cover. The print is the same as in the magazine its not very large, and there are recipes that don't have photos. There is a huge variety of recipes from seasonal to breads to soups and sandwiches. Which brings me to a small problem I have with this book. I prefer my recipes to always stay together in chapters, meaning I want all the soups together then the sandwiches I don't want to read soup on one page then sandwiches then soups again on the third page-but that's just me :). I definitely think this cookbook would make a great gift for new and seasoned home chefs. I own several "Taste of Home" cookbooks and a huge collection of recipes from their magazines- and this book is still a keeper!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cookbook. Magazine subscription not free. The cookbook itself is delightful. Many great, easy to follow recipes. My frustration is this says we will get a free subscription to Taste of Home magazine. I was charged $19.95 for this free year (6 month) subscription so I had to cancel it. I was looking forward to getting the magazines as promised. That is what brought this rating to a 4. The book itself is a 5 star rating to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Love this cook book - and that's from a cook book collector. I read cook books like a novel. I have a huge cook book collection which I weed out about every ten years. First of all, this cook book has great pictures of the finished recipe. Love the pictures. And easy to fix great recipes. Didn't find any ingredients that you wouldn't normally find in the spice cabinet. This would make a great gift and I plan to order a couple more as Christmas gifts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Recipe Book! I’m slowly becoming a recipe book collector what with all the enticing books offered on “In the Kitchen With David,” but this one tops all of my recent purchases! The book is easy to work with since the pages are on a ring binder so you don’t have to fight to keep it open to the page you are on. The pages are gently wipable (is that a word?) so you aren’t left with sticky pages. And the recipes are nicely organized with mouthwatering photographs. Speaking of recipes, this book is loaded with great meals, desserts, etc. I subscribed to Taste of Home for years until I just got overwhelmed by all the magazines I had saved to cut recipes out of. I’m happy to have a nice collection right here. I definitely recommend this book for inexperienced cooks, but the experienced will enjoy it, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy recipes with available ingredients This cookbook also came with a one year subscription to their magazine so I think the value is there. I have another cookbook by Taste of Home, and I noticed immediately that some of the recipes from that cookbook are featured in this one. Still, this is a good cookbook for someone who wants delicious recipes that don't require odd ingredients. The photo's are beautiful, and the spiral binding allows the cookbook to lay open. My family has enjoyed many of the recipes.
