Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Haven't Purchased a Cookbook in Over 10 Years With the easy access of recipes on the internet and Food Network channel, I have not purchased a cookbook in over 10 years. I am an avid cook and lately have not had much time to devote in perfecting dishes. My family is particularly fond of good Italian meals. When I read the review and saw the presentation, I was already sold by this man's humility and traditional upbringing. I knew he had age old secret easy recipes and this cookbook would be a gem. And, I was absolutely spot on with my assessment. If you're reluctant, like I was, and would only purchase a hardcopy cookbook because it was a sure thing, this is it! Oh, and a young adult new cook would appreciate this, because the ingredients are easy to find and it is really easy to follow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Rare Gem When I heard the buzz about Chef Tony crying when his cookbook debuted and promptly sold out, I had to check out the recipes from this humble man. May I say I am DELIGHTED I purchase this book. Thus far I have made the Peach Melba Dutch Pancake, Chillin'-out Minestrone, Mom's Special Patty Melts, Thanksgiving Dinner Deli Wrap, Sheet Pan Greek Chicken Supper, Cheesy Ranch Chicken Bake, Easy Baked Turkey Tetrazzini, Garlic and Herb Turkey Burgers, Mama Jeanie's Special Brisket, Low-and-Slow Beef Stew, Old World Pasta Bolognese, My Childhood Lasagna, Italian Meat Stromboli, Zucchini and Tomato Casserole, Italian Bakery Tiramisu and Chocolate Chunk Macadamia Nut Cookies. Nearly every recipe drew the same reaction: "This is AMAZING! Whose recipe is this?" Thank you, Chef Tony!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from as great as I thought it would be As much as I've tried to make my teenage son self-sufficient, he always acts like he has no arms or legs when it comes to walking into the kitchen and making something for himself when he's hungry. I bought this because the recipes seem easy without ingredients I've never heard of and food that my picky but lazy son will be willing to try. Like some of the other reviewers, I wish every recipe had a coordinating picture too (just so I can see if mine looks somewhat like it's supposed to). I really like how easy the directions are and it's not cumbersome to lay on the table to view and each recipe looks like something I could actually try making and not mess up! This is the very first cookbook I've ever bought for myself and I think I made a great first choice!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this cookbook I picked up this cookbook on a whim. The recipes sounded good, and it had been a while since I tried cooking something new. I love to cook, but I'd definitely recommend this for someone who doesn't. The ingredients are easy to find, and the directions are simple. I made the S'mores Poke Cake for my co-workers, and everyone raved about it! The zucchini tomato bake is the best way to use up the bumper crop of zucchini this year! I have already given this as a gift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You Can Cook Too! Positives are luscious recipes, easy to follow, great color & format and Tony's love! I made the chocochip muffins first thing. So wholesome, easy and sooo good to eat. Mine made 18 standard cupcakes and they browned so perfectly. They looked better than the picture! HAha! All the recipes are easy. Pasta sauce is the best too. Will try almost all of them eventually. Love the tetrazzini. People, start to cook from scratch....it's easier and cheaper. I would have liked a binder book. So hard to keep open when reading the recipe. I think this book also needed nutrition facts but a wonderful book from Tony's heart! Thank you Tony for sharing you & family with us. I share my Italian/Sicilian family recipes also. No secrets! It's pure love & joy to know someone will make what you treasure. Looking forward to book #2. Love watching Tony because we need more like him in the world. Bless you Tony & family!!!
