I love this purse! I’m constantly switching purses so I can go from work to play. I needed something that would accommodate snacks, an extra pair of undies, wipes, etc. for my son when were out, but would also be appropriate to carry for work if I didn’t have time to swap. The Thomas the Train backpack I had been using wasn’t quite the style in my law firm, but it was quick to throw everything in and left my hands free when we went out, which is crucial when your kid doesn’t always listen and stop. Crossbody bags are too cumbersome and leave my shoulders sore. This bag solved all my problems (at least the purse related ones, I could still use a hit single man and $1 million, if you’ve got either). I can wear it as a backpack when I’m out and about; although it can be a pain to take on and off repeatedly, it’s no harder than Thomas was, and, if you hang it on the back of a chair, or aren’t careful when you pick it up, it will tip forward and spill. Now I know to be careful of that, and don’t have a problem. It has card slots with RFID protection so I don’t have to take up valuable space with my wallet, so there’s plenty of room for extra fruit snacks. (Imagine my excitement.) And if I don’t have time to swap out for one of my beloved Aimee Kestenberg bags, I can wear this crossbody to the office. It is long as a shoulder bag because of the length needed for the backpack, but it’s manageable, and you can shorten the straps. I’m glad to know Tig makes such good quality bags because this will, no doubt, be in my collection for a long time to come. Now, if only they could work on a mascara that was as great as this purse, I’d be set.

Don't buy this...
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It hangs forward and the contents have fallen out several times. It doesn't matter which way you carry it. If I had known in time I would have sent it back.
