Rated 4 out of 5 by from Water Level Affects Water Sounds! I am pleased once again with an 'as is' item from QVC! Reading other reviews, one issue has been that of not hearing the water flow. I have found if the water covers the pump, but is kept no higher than about 1/2 below the level of the back opening, the sounds are very audible. They alleviate the small hum of the motor, which has bothered some customers. Even solar fountains have a slight hum, so that's to be expected. The design of the fountain is sweet and unique. The light is a bit bright, but I'm not going to stare at it, so that's not a problem. It would be a plus if an on-off control were on the cord, as others have said. Overall, I'm happy with my lovely sage fountain...especially at the reduced price.
