Chef Williams (2) 3.5-4 lb. Roasted & Fried Boneless Turkey Breasts
If you were expecting a gourmet turkey breast you will be disappointed. The taste was obscured by the sodium content and the turkey looked unappetizing. I am glad that I tried one of the breast before serving the other to my guests. In regards to this product someone needs to go back to the "drawing board".
I was so disappointed because these turkey breast has too much SALT ! You should warn people who must limit their salt intake!!
We didn't like the texture or taste, way too salty. Had to make a salt free gravy which didn't go over well. Made pot pies which were good though.
Glad they're back!!
I am so glad that QVC brought back these turkey breasts! I was disappointed when I couldn't get it for the last two years and we missed it! It is so moist with a delectable flavor that makes you want to eat more and more! Although the breast looks small it isn't and serves many with leftovers. Thanks for bringing it back and hopefully we can enjoy them next year too.
I really don't understand the negative reviews here at all. I am from the South, I've been around a few years and believe me, I've eaten my share of fried turkey. This was literally the BEST fried turkey I have ever eaten. Tender, juicy, moist and the flavor was outstanding, not overly salty at all, but with a a nice Cajun bite to it. It's a beautiful real turkey breast, nothing about this is compressed meat - just be sure that you are slicing it against the grain! I took mine out of the fridge just long enough for the oven to preheat and cooked it in a Temptations baking pan, so in the end it did take longer to cook. I suspect the ceramic pan just absorbed the cold from the turkey, so it took awhile for the oven to catch up. I highly recommend bringing the turkey to room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes or so before baking it. When it wasn't done at the recommended time, I stuck a probe for my in-oven thermometer in it (why didn't I just do that right away??!), right through the foil, set it to 140 degrees F and went about my business until it beeped, not much later. I let it rest for a bit before slicing and, even though it was nice & juicy, there were enough wonderful pan drippings for serving au jus or for making a gravy too. I just loved this turkey. Pricey? Eh, maybe. But all the work is done for you. Factor in the cost of peanut oil, a turkey fryer and the turkey and it's worth it. Winner winner turkey dinner y'all!
this product is just expensive deli turkey made at a large processing plant. They make it sound like someone cooked/roasted/fried a whole turkey. Once you taste it and look at its texture you can tell that it's not what you would cook/roast/fry at home yourself.
Nothing to write home about
Really not worth the money. Mostly salt; creole seasoning ruins what might have been a good turkey breast.
so moist and yummy!
we love this turkey! so moist and yummy. the trick is to just heat it up. it's already cooked, the seasonings are right on the mark. there are times we don't want a turkey dinner, but turkey sammies. nothing better then an opened faced turkey sammie. this goes back to my childhood of road trips and stopping at howard johnsons. these are great for a quick dinner when you have unexpected guests. also, great for people who are empty nesters, or alone. as they can have a "thanksgiving" feast , without all the fuss.
So delicious & yummy. Two of us eat on this everyday until all gone. We just change the vegetables. I love Chef Williams' food. He's great! Thanks QVC!
Recommend as a gift? Absolutely. Wish someone would give one to us as a gift!
Excellent, Moist & Tasty!
We received these in March and had one for Easter and were surprised how moist and tasty it was. Plenty to serve and enough left over for hubby's bucket. We just had the second one this week and after being in the freezer for 3 months it was still excellent and moist. This second one I sliced some and served it cold for turkey salad and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Plenty for many more meals for the 2 of us. Even my husband was surprised how good it was. Will order again for the holidays.
worst food I ever ordered
This is the worst turkey I have ever ordered or eaten ....that would include school lunch and day camp. It looks bad.....smells bad....and tastes bad . QVC'S food is usually so wonderful I can"t imagine how this nasty bird got through the door.
Not as Expected
Was OK but the texture was not what I expected - it was not like a turkey breast that I would cook at home - it was more compressed like a turkey roast (would not shred like one I would cook myself). Flavor was OK - I ended up cutting it into cubes and using in casseroles. Don't know what I'm going to do with the 2nd one. Going to cancel my Auto Delivery.
