smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer -Adjust
Didn't do what it said it would...and I have decent skin! I kept it...(didn't want the hassle of returning it) ...and I don't use it. -Also the same one in a pinkish color...it didn't work either, I'm sorry to say. Love Smashbox lipsticks and eye shadows though!
love the texture of this procduct
does a fantastic job evening out skin tone. Fantastic as a primer for foundation. Texture is fantastic, really light non greasy.
This is a wonderful product!
I am over 53 years old and suffer from hot flashes. I have redness on my cheeks and chin. Sun damage and large pores. This product works great isn't oily or to drying, but
helps keep my makeup on and my pores under control. Thank you smashbox!
Love this product
Ocassionally I will forget to apply my primer (this is rare) and I can always tell when I do. The first thing I notice when I see my relfection are my pores, yuck!!! Than it dawns on me that I was in a hurry and skipped that step!!! If you have pores u would like to conceal, this is the product for you, it's a great eye primer as well, I use it all over my face.
The Best "Two-for" Primer
I've tried many primers, and this is the best on me. I've been using it for a couple of years, and still love it. The texture is wonderful, and it doesn't dry out my skin or make it oily. It does cause the makeup to last and to look even. Finally, it evens my skin tone, covering my areas of redness so that I neither have to use concealer or yellow powder on them.
Color Correcting Primer does wonders for redness
I purchased this after using up my SBox Primer and decided to give the color correcting one a try, because of redness on my cheeks and nose. I noticed a difference on the first use and will be using this one from now on. I use less concealer now.
really wanted to like it...
I really wanted to like this product after reading so many positive reviews. I use BE products otherwise, but liked the color correction as i have a lot of red undertones, so I thought I'd give this a shot. I have combination skin, and by the end of the day, without a primer my makeup rubs right off on my forehead, nose and chin. The primer seemed to do it's job as far as balancing out my color, but really dried out my skin in my normally dry areas, and the areas normally oily my makeup seemed to flake off. I use moisturizer daily on the dry areas, so I know they're hydrated well enough. I will have to keep looking...
Would not purchase again.
This primer while it does feel nice and slippery on the skin, due to the silicone base, it does nothing to correct the redness on my face at all. This was a huge disappointment and I'm sorry I wasted my money on a product that doesn't deliver all that it claims to.
Stick with the regular Photo Finish primer...
This primer was an immense disappointment to me. I've been a Smashbox girl for almost six years and this is one of maybe two or three products that just haven't been good for me, or right for my skin.
For one, this does not reduce redness at all. If you have combination skin and are worried about oil, well, this one actually made my skin extremely oily. Compared to the other two versions of Photo Finish that I use (the original and the Dermaxyl Complex with UVA/UVB SPF), this one is an immense failure. It's a nice idea, but go back to the lab with this one.
ADJUST DOES MINIMIZE REDNESS
I have been using the original Smashbox Photo Finish Primer for years but just purchased the Adjust to to see it it would actually counteract the redness in my fair complexion. Adjust does significantly reduce the redness but does NOT enable me to bypass either Bare Essentuals in Fair or Light or Smashbox Halo for a foundation. It does allow me to eliminate concealer for localized redness so I am very pleased to eliminate one step and one product in the A.M. I will certainly re-order this Primer in Adjust and definitely recommend it with paired with a mineral foundation. I am rating 4 instead of 5 stars simply because of the packaging. It is always impossible to extract all of the Smashbox Primer from the bottle. Previously, I have resorted to Q-tips to extract the remaining product in the bottle. Smashbox needs to address this common complaint and resolve the issue of their delivery sytem.
Great product for redness. You can smooth this on and not wear foundation if you wish. It also is a great palette and helps foundation really do its job.
I love this primer and it does all is claims. My problem is, it is so thick that after the primer is used up around the stem of the pump, I can't get any more to come out. I have tried to shake it and stir it up, but it is hard. I would prefer a tube style bottle. Otherwise, the correcting primer and also the regular primer are both great products.
