I THINK I'M IN LOVE :-)
I've now had this fan for 4 days and I am loving it. It has to be about the best fan I have ever owned. Besides the fact that it's the coolest looking one, I love that it is almost super quiet, and puts out an amazing amount of cool air which is the very main reason I got it for our bedroom. I don't like leaving the AC on in the bedroom because it gets much too cold and this Dyson fan seems to be doing the job beautifully of cooling off the room especially when oscillating. I, too, own a Holmes fan. I like it but MY opinion is it doesn't hold a candle to this Dyson. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

TOO FUNNY!
I love this fan. I could not stop laughing at my husband's reaction and my 2 dogs. My husband kept looking at it and told me that it looks like something from outer space! Then when I put my hand through it, he couldn't believe it. He said where are the blades and then I let him know that it does not need any.....and then when my 2 dogs looked at it, even they must have thought....what did mom bring home this time HA HA. The fan works great and we all just love it. I am 60 and my DH is 62, so I let him know that I love keeping up with the newest and great inventions. I also have 2 laptops, IPAD2 and a Kindle fire. I just love electronics!

Disappointed
Received this three days ago after waiting a couple of weeks. Runs for 2-4 hours at a time and shuts off. Will not re-start for several hours. Very disappointed. Poor quality control. Over priced for what you get. Will be returning it.

Over priced
I own this fan. It is lightweight, easy to move from room to room and really doesn't get dirty which is a bonus. The airflow is tremendous so I can place it on the floor, where the air is coolest, and push the air into the living room area where the sun raises the temp. But this is not a quiet fan on the highest setting. If you are running it and watching tv, be prepared to turn up the volume. I honestly think this fan is high end and worth more than the average fan but a more reasonable price would be between $100 and $150.

Awesome if you have small kids
The one & best reason as to why to buy one of these fans, no matter the cost is the SAFETY aspect of it for if you have any little ones around. The cost is nothing compared to an injury a child could have by placing fingers into a fan that has blades. A small price to pay for one huge danger to not have to worry about. If you have any small kids or if you ever have any little ones around I highly recommend getting anyone of these Dyson fans. I have many Dyson items & I am now a huge fan of everything I have ever bought of theirs. I've spent approx. $3000.00 on a Kerby vacuum, & then I bought a animal upright from Dyson.....& it is way much better than the expensive Kerby & picked up all of my three dogs hair & also my cat & even all of my hair shedding.! ;) I also bought the small cordless chargeable hand vac for using to clean my car & that is a life saver & much easier to use than a vac with a power cord & a huge long hose etc. you can get to all of those small places in your car & both of the tools that come with it is perfect for every type of area inside your vehicle & much more. I'm a Dyson fan forever & will never buy any other brand unless Dyson doesn't make what I need. Now I want the new canister vac, & I think I will be getting my son his own upright or ? For his room & for his cat & litter mess

AWESOME & QUIET!!!
I am so glad that I splurged on this fan. I love the easy cleaning of it and that I don't have to worry about the pets or kids getting fingers or tails in the fan blades...there are NONE!!!!! I have already seen a drop on my HVAC bill and if you live in the USA right now, you know that it has been HOTT everywhere and we are in south TX!!! I plan to buy more of these. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!

Really Cool Fan!
I received my fan on 7-3-12. The weather in Ohio is scorching hot and many people are without electricity or ac because of the storms that have gone through the area. We were fortunate to have both electricity and ac. I set our fan up near the doorway between the enclosed patio & the family room. (The patio does not have ac.) The fan pulled cool air from the family room onto the patio and we were able to use that room all day long even though the temp. outside was 100 degrees---that was the 4th of July. After the partying I moved the fan to the living room and set it up to blow cool air upstairs to the bedroom area. It is whisper quiet and does a fantastic job. I was teased by my children & grandchildren about the cost and how many regular fans I could have bought, but, the ingenuity is great and it has been quite a conversation piece. Pricey? Yes, but pays for itself in other ways. The technology is fascinating! My decision to buy was influenced by my owning a Dyson vacuum cleaner - - just wonderful!

Some good things, some not
This fan is an artwork to look at. Very contemporary. The bladeless feature helps with allergies, as there are no blades to clog up. I have pets - so this fan is safe. What's more - the pet hair doesn't get stuck in it like in regular fans (and my house is not dirty and clogged with pet hair .. pet hair just "finds" a fan...
The air it pushes is not what they claim - it's much less. And the buttons are on the base that oscillates, so you have to "catch up to them" to turn it down or off. Should have been on the nonmoving portion of the base.
Overall, not a bad fan except for the price. Too expensive for what you get. I also bought a Holmes fan that has some wonderful features, takes up about the same amount of space and works much much better. Would recommend skipping this and going for the Holmes fan

BEATS ANY OTHER FAN TO BITS
A+++. QUIET, EFFICIENT, WORKS, WHAT ELSE CAN YOU WISH FOR? UNOBTRUSIVE , GOOD STYLE? YES, THAT, TOO, A+++.
JUST ORDERED A SECOND ONE FOR ANOTHER AREA. BLUE IS MY COLOR, BUT WHATEVER YOU LIKE IS GOOD.

too expensive
this fan is unique, for sure, and incredibly expensive for its function. Since I don't have any safety needs for a bladeless fan, I have no earthly idea why I ordered this. Great idea if you have children or kittens...otherwise, just not worth the many extra bucks.

Cool Design
This fan is definitely unique. Love the design. Easy to clean, and operate. The down side.
It doesn't put out as much air as my bionare tower fan that cost $45.00. Still on the fence
as to keep it or return. $300.00 is a big price just to have a "cool" looking fan that my grandkids can put their hands through. Also, it's not quiet. Three stars for the design.

Best Decision
I'll admit I was a bit dubious purchasing this item due to the price, but I am so glad I decided to give it a try! I feel it puts out a nice breeze and is so quiet on the low mode. On the highest mode, you can of course hear it, but it's not nearly as loud as some of the fans I have purchased in the past. I also love the fact that it will be so easy to clean, no more taking apart the cover, then the blades etc., one wipe and it's done!
