Sad we are stuck with a lemon
We are very disappointed with this unit , it turned out to be a lemon. We didn't used it immediately when we purchased it because we were doing house renovations. But when were Seattle and finally did used it, wow what surprise. No air and no heat and now we can sent it back. This is a very costly mistake on our part. I am sad that we are stuck with a unit that we will never be able to use. we have other duraflame units and that is why we put our trust in this unit, but as I stated it is a lemon!

not cool at all
I love QVC and buy things there all the time.. this product by far the worst... also the most expensive.. it was a leap of faith to buy this type of thing sight unseen but did because of qvc. very disappointed didnt cool even a small room

What a shame this is a Duraflame
This is by far our worst purchase from qvc,we own a Duraflame heater we purchased from qvc and it works wonderful,so when this aired we figured it would work fine.Upon opening the box the cabinet is very attractive and looks to be made well,however it does not work well.We got this for a 12x14 bedroom and it just did not cool well,we gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried three nights using variable fan speeds and temperatures,it would not cool the room.Called customer service to send back and they were very helpful in arranging to have it picked up.

A Bust
I am greatly disappointed in the product. I was purchasing this to replace a AC that is only 8K BTU. It was working well but I wanted to give the old AC my son. I placed this 11,000 (first) in a room 14x16sqf, room never got cool. Then I moved it to a room that is 12x10, my daughter room. My daughter complained that the thing (as we call it now ) does not work. I had to order 2 Lasko fan. One for each room. I wanted this item to work and if it did I was going to order another one. I have inform QVC and it is going back. less than a week and half.

Disappointed
Ordered this air conditioner because it also had a heater, a wonderful, dual purpose unit. The unit is beautiful and very well built. I used it to cool on some hot days and it cool the room nicely. We had a couple of very cool days, and I used the heater, which also worked very well to heat my room. So why am I disappointed? It was not until my husband and I read the instruction manual that it was pointed out that in order to use the heater, the unit must be attached to the window with the vent system in place (same as for air conditioner). If you live in a moderate climate, this may not be a problem. However, we live 60 miles from the Canadian border, and our winters can be brutal, down to -20 or -40 degrees!! That cold of air coming in the uninsulated exhaust hose, and then trying to heat this air along with the room seems counter productive. I wish that in the presentations of this product that this particular detail would have been mentioned. I purchased this because it both cooled and heated a room. I called QVC customer service and they were great (thanks Dawn!). This unit is being sent back.
