T30526 - Playhut 3-in-1 Collapsible Game Zone w/ StorageTote
Great Classroom Incentive!
This game is loved by our whole class! When they earn 4 balls they get to throw them and win prizes. We have a prize for each of the 5 numbered holes. When it is not game day, it is folded up neatly out of the way. I think the price was fantastic for such a wonderful item.
NEED TO SEE HOW TO CLOSE IT BACK UP!
MY GRANDKIDS LOVE THIS BUT IT'S NOT EASY TO CLOSE UP AND PUT AWAY!! THIS NETTING IS VERY FINE AND TEARS EASY TOO!! IF ONLY YOU HAD SHOWN A DEMO OF IT BEING CLOSED AND NOT JUST SENT DRAWN OUT INSTRUCTION OR AT LEAST COLORED INSTRUCTIONS SO WE COULD SEE THE PANELS !! I REALLY WANT TO SEND IT BACK!! BUT IT WILL BRAKE MY GRANDBABIES HEART!!
SO IMPROVE THE OVERALL STRUCTURE BY MAKING WIRING,FABRIC,NETTING STRONGER AND SHOW HOW TO CLOSE IT BY VIDEO OR COLOR INSTRUCTION!!! WILL NOT RECOMMEND UNTIL YOU FIX THE PROBLAMES STATED ABOVE!!
Perfect Christmas Present (but won't fold)
This was a great, cheap Santa gift for our 8 year old. She went nuts when she saw it. The size was pretty substantial but not overwhelming and she played with it for several hours right away on Christmas morning, inventing different games to play with combinations of the basketball/skeeball/baseball functions. It doesn't appear to be that well-made - the fabric feels a little flimsy - but for the price and for the "wow" factor, you can't beat it. As other reviews have said, the instructions leave a LOT to be desired. They are worse than Ikea instructions! Complicated picture diagrams that really aren't clear and no words to describe what the stick figure in the picture was doing. It looked very complicated to set up, based on the instructions, but it just popped right out when my husband opened it and took no time at all. Trying to fold it up and put it back into the little tote bag was a different story - we both tried using the instructions to no avail and we also tried just using our best judgment from folding up other coiled things like pool floats and hunting tents - none of the usual methods worked. We ended up just smashing it together the best we could and shoving it mostly into the bag - hey, it did the trick. Overall, I am happy with the purchase, but I definitely don't recommend it to anyone who would be wanting to regularly fold/unfold it - it is better just left assembled in a kid's bedroom.
The kid was ecstatic!
... and that's what you really want when you give a gift to a child, right? The Playhut popped up in no time and he continued to played with exuberance for hours. I'd read the reviews about it being challenging to return to it's original size and bought it, even with that in mind. Even if you can't get it back to the original size, it's not difficult to get it down to a size where it will easily fit under a couch or in the trunk for tranport. Get it, the kid will love it!
Entertaining...But Lost In The Fold
I bought this as a Christmas Present for all our grand children. The first grand child to play with it was a grandson who is 4. He played with it for quite a while and wanted every adult to challenge him. He was upset when we said we were going to put it away. We had to make room for more company coming.
The problem with the Playhut then occurred. It pops right up when you take it out of the bag however the picture diagrams are not the best. I think it would be best if you would print some directions with those diagrams because without the words 4 adults could not get the PlayHut back into the case. If my grandson didn't have so much fun with it, I would send it back just because of the hassle.
I even got on QVC.com to rewatch the presentation hoping that maybe you all demostrated the folding it up and it was on the video. But a very important part was missing....the tear down.
Does ANYONE have any secrets on an easy way of properly folding this item? Sure could use some help here.
Thank ya all so Much!
Lost In The Fold
SNAP OUT OF IT
Snap out of it, everyone! Folding it isn't that big of a deal. Yes, it takes practice and at first you feel like you're all thumbs. But my husband showed me how and now it's do-able. :)
Impossible to fold
I bought this game for my grandsons ages 4 and 6. They have a lot of fun with it. When open the toy takes up a LOT of space in my townhouse. I have found it IMPOSSIBLE to fold up! Do not plan on storing in the bag it arrived in. Unless you live in a large home, don't buy this toy! :( I wish QVC would post the video to show how to fold this thing up; maybe that would be helpful.
Impossible to fold
I bought this for our nephew for Christmas who lives out of state. Thought it was cute and could be used in the house during the cold weather. We opened it to make sure it was undamaged and after three adults trying to close this to put it back in the bag,we gave up. I don't know how to wrap and send this now because it looks terrible and yet how do I send it back to QVC in this condition? Any suggestions. I can't see paying for additional postage for something I wasn't aware of. If an item has a difficult factor assigned to it, the hosts should stress that.
FUN FOR ALL
WELL ITS A GREAT FUN FOR KIDS AND PARENTS.. FOLDING A BIT A PROBLEM. I CAN FOLD IT EASY 3/4 TO MAKE IT FLAT AND PUT IT UNDER THE BED OR IN A CLOSET BUT TO FOLD IT IN THE BAG IT CAME WITH I CANT.. IT DONT BOTHER ME THO IT FITS IN A TRUNK OF A CAR OR LIKE I SAID UNDER THE BED OR CLOSET.. BUT ITS A BIG FUN TOY SO ILL KEEP IT...KIDS LOVE IT!!!
Withholding judgement until I hear from Playhut!
I purchased this item with great hopes of tons of fun. I still think it might produce many happy hours for my grand children, but I won't know until I hear from the Playhut company. If they cannot tell me specifically, how to close the thing and get it back into the pouch it is to be stored in, I might just send it back to QVC.....not sure how that will happen either, since I cannot get it past the first 3 or 4 folds/twists, and I will not pay to send a giant box back to QVC!!! For something that is supposed to be EZ twist, it certainly is not easy, and the stick figure illustrations for opening and closing the Game Zone are useless. Don't bother watching the product video on this site.....it is just the sales pitch with nothing about opening or closing the item. They really missed the mark on this product.....usually I am happy with my QVC purchases, but this time I reserve judgment. If I am able to store it the way it is to be stored, I will be happy. If not.......well, you can probably figure that out!
I ENJOY THE OTHER ITEMS I BOUGHT FROM THIS COMPANY BUT THE PROBLEM IS ALWAYS THE SAME.
THEY DO NOT GO BACK AINTO THE BAGS. THEY MAKE IT LOOK EASY ON TV BUT IT IS NOT.
GAMES ARE GREAT AND LIGHTWEIGHT.
This is a fun toy but can't fold to fit into the bag. Can manage the first two folds but the last one can't do. Didn't have it opened since Christmas. want to take on vacation. Have to leave open because it can't be put in the bag. The video at the time of presentation was done too fast and the man wasn't facing the camera so it was hard to see what he did. Can't store only but laying flat.
