Kansas City 4-4.3 lb. Savory Tomato with Garlic Prime Rib Roast
Bought this for Easter dinner and it was one if the best prime ribs that I have prepared. Should have bought the auto delivery.
I ordered this for the first time to serve at my Easter dinner. It was easy to prepare with the enclosed instructions and turned out beautifully!!! I look forward to ordering this again.
I used my new Ninja cooking system from the Q. I seared it on all sides before adding an au jus mixture to the pot before cooking. The tomato garlic rub blended beautifully with the meat juices. Stored the left overs in the juices and it was even better the next day. Everyone who tried it loved it. I'd definitely buy this roast again.
5-STAR RESTAURANT OUALITY. EXCELLENT.
I can't say enough about this Roast I've been too many 5 star Restaurants and this Prime Rib Equals or Surpasses them all. The rub was perfect it just enhanced the flavor of the meat. Very tender and tasteful, Thought when I purchased it to be a little pricy but worth every penny. Will be buying more.
I got this several wks ago. Cooked as directed. Had 2 slices as a rib roast, took
some and cut into bit size pieces along with potato bit size pieces and made a
meat pot pie, took the rest and had bbq sandwitches. It was all good.
My prime rib was sitting in the fridge to thaw for our Easter dinner
so i decided to check on it and noticed that there was blood
everywhere on the bottom shelf of my fridge. There was a
hole in the plastic wrap it was shipped in that i didn't see.
Called QVC and they took care of the problem right away.
Easter dinner is saved! Fantastic Customer service! The
prime rib although raw smelled delicious!
I was surprised how good this Prime Rib was. My adult son loved the rub as did I. My granddaughter, known for being a very picky eater, asked for seconds.
Rub tasted like hot cayenne pepper and salt
The roast itself was pretty good, tender and juicy, although in the center of it was a fist size area of fat, but not visible from the outside.
The rub almost ruined it however. Tomato and garlic would have been great but there was something very spicey and hot tasting like hot pepper or cayenne pepper. It was also very salty in the rub. All you could taste of the rub was spicey hot and salt.
One 4 oz slice has 990 mg sodium. This equals 41% of daily requirement. I consider this to be a lot of salt.
