Loved them!
Really, really liked these. Now they are different from traditional crab cakes but they mentioned that in the presentation. We really liked them & look forward to ordering them again!

Kaptain's Ketch Jumbo Crab Cakes
I was waiting for the crab cakes to arrive. My dealings w/ QVC have been good so I expected the same.
I cooked them according to directions and served them to guests. (What a treat I thought )
THEY WERE TERRIBLE. CRAB SHOULDN'T TASTE AND SMELL FISHY, BUT THEY DID.
I had to throw them away. Noone could eat them. What a waste on time and money.

Not so good crab
Too much breading and the inside was mushy. Did not like the seasoning. Would not order them again. Unfortunately you the host sample and rave on it being the best thing they ever ate. You trust their taste buds not thinking they are selling product. There is another crab cake I might try with better ratings.

Tasteless
I should have paid attention to the other reviews but thought I would take a chance. Big mistake, these crab cakes are bland and tasteless. I also could not find any chunks of crab as were shown in the presentation. If I had closed my eyes and took a bite I would have had no clue what I was eating. I am thankful QVC has such a great return policy on food as I called Customer Service for a refund.

tasteless, disappointing, not worth the price
I was excited to receive these crabcakes and served them at Superbowl. I was extremely disappointed...they were tasteless. Granted, they were not fishy tasting, but they did not have the sweet mild taste of crab either. I purchased these because the onair demonstration showed these crabcakes full of chunks of crab. When I checked the ingredients on the box, the first item was white fish, crab being the third ingredient. I do not believe the chunks in these cakes was crab at all, but some tasteless white fish substitute.

not worth the money
These weren't bad. Way better than chesapeeke bay which I think are awful. They weren't fishy and there was plenty of crab. seasoning was mild which I prefer for crab cakes..only thing is the crab had no flavor..you could be eating anything.Maybe,maybe I would pay half the price then again maybe not.

Ok but not great for the price
These were better than other crab cakes I've purchased from QVC. However, for the price they left much to be desired, as in more crab. Fortunately, QVC has a great return policy so they quickly gave me a refund.

Family loves them
We served these during the Christmas holidays. All of our guest loved them. Everyone agreed they were the best crab cakes they had ever eaten.

Nothing Like The Presentation
This product was presented as crab meat, bechamel sauce, spices and coated in panko bread crumbs. He clearly said there were no fillers. Bechamel sauce is simply milk, thickened with a butter & flour roux (also known as white sauce). When I read the label, there are over 60 ingredients including breading (in addition to the bread crumbs), margarine (which has its own 10 ingredients), hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce - I think you get the point. It's not simply crab meat with a few ingredients.

Lots of crab!
These crab cakes are not the typical cakes filled with breadcrumbs. They have large sweet chunks of crab mixed with a cream based sauce. They have a Panko crumb coating that gives a nice crunch. The one negative for me is a lack of seasoning, rather bland. I will serve them with a nice lemon mustard sauce to enhance the flavor.

Filler comes to mind
Too much filler, unbelievable for the price....... Nothing like the resteraunt quality I expected. 1 star is too high
