Arrived in good shape ! Received these a few days ago and all are in good shape, nothing I have planted so far has gone into any kind of shock, I am just so thankful the warm weather hs arrived finally, had to keep them inside 1 night due to frost, now they are all soaking up the sun .. oh and one already had a rose bud on it !! 05-15-13
Rose plants I recieved 3 rose collections orders from Cottage farms. They all arrived healthy and in good condition. I planted them as instructed and they are all doing good, no flowers yet but the plants are healthy. I do not have a green thumb, and these plants (18 of them) are doing very well. The weather has not been good, but I covered them up and are still good. I can't wait until they get flowers. Would 100% order from cottage farms again. 05-14-13
Super roses The flowers are miniature but the plants really GROW up to be large garden additions....this is my second set of mini roses and I couldn't be more pleased... I use a flower/ rose food with a systemic insecticide and all are thriving!! I live in Charleston SC so with our mild winters I had plants that were full of blooms non-stop...I have had to trim them quite dramatically to keep their sizes in check and they come back bigger & better!! I LOVE these roses ! BTW-I have had much better luck planting these directly into the ground as opposed to a container... 05-09-13
Sastified 3 out of the 6 are doing well, hence the 4 star rating, but Im going to take advantage of the warranty and get replacements for the 3 that didn't fair so well. But from what I can see, the colors are bright and beautiful. Sure, I would of loved for all 6 to make it, but Im happy with what I have and hope the new replacements will flourish too... 05-08-13
Lovely little roses Our little roses arrived a month ago, and were pretty much what we had expected (i.e., small, some yellow leaves, spindly - they are babies, after all!). We've put them out in pots in the San Diego sun and they are doing quite nicely. One even bloomed today! Looking forward to enjoying them for many years. 05-05-13
VERY HAPPY I received my shipment almost a month ago and waited to see how they would do before reviewing. I received 6 very healthy plants and even after a windstorm knocked an umbrella over on one of them they are all flourishing. Will definitely order from cottage farms again! 05-04-13
Wonderful Suprise Just found out that UPS left them on the door step last night without ringing the door bell. Got down to 34 degrees last night. After checking the order status this morning on my purchases (8 different plant orders) I rushed to the door fearing the worse. Upon opening my box, I found 6 VERY HEALTHY plants, 3 of which already had blooms on them. Root systems are growing out of the bottoms of the containers. I must admit the packing system they come in is very very good, well wrapped and the extra labels provided is a nice touch along with the planting instructions. So far, out of 4 purchases received, I have had wonderful success on ALL 4. Beautiful plants, in VERY VERY good shape and health. Should the other 4 orders arrive as same, I will ONLY order from Cottage Farms/QVC from now on and throw away my plant catalogs. 04-25-13
Very Tiny :( I received the set of roses and was Very dis-appointed . They are very frail and have little to no root system. All leaves that were on the plants were yellow. Let's see if they live 04-23-13
Think Twice before you purchase I ordered these awesome looking roses on tv like everyone else did it seems, but wish i would have read all these reviews before i did. Awesome roses i did not receive !!!!!!! small, 2 had no soil in the pots at all and were DEAD...the other 4 looked to be on there deathbed as well with yellow leaves and black spots all over them. they were little little plants too. I called QVC customer service right away and they stated they would send out replacements for the 2 dead plants. I was pleased with the customer service department and waited for the two new plants to arrive....a week later UPS came and i opened up the box and just knew that i just got a bad batch the first time, but NO these ones were just as bad if not worse. i said you have got to be kidding me, i called customer service again and told them i'm sending them back and they said we are offering you a FULL refund and were sorry. Just can't believe that Cottage Farms sends out product like that when they say they have the best plants around ? ? ? maybe so if you can nurse them back from the dead 04-17-13
Burst of Color Miniature Roses The specimens were very frail/small. I have placed them in a filtered light environment so they can acclimate to sunny California. I hope they survive! 04-12-13
Miniature Roses I received the Roses a few days ago. I was surprise on how small they were. I planted them, will have to see how they do as one was not looking very health so will see what happens in the next few weeks. 04-09-13
Will be beautiful IF you follow the instructions! I purchased similar mini roses last year from Cottage Farms. Yes, a "twig" is what arrived, that's called bare root for the uninformed out there. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!! I did treat 1 of them for black spot, all survived and flourished. I planted them in a moisture control potting mix in 10" pots, they had beautiful flowers last summer, wintered them over in an unheated room (very cold in the winter!) and they are thriving now. I just moved them to the outside, all have leafed out, a few already have blossoms. Feed them regularly during the growing season, clip off the dead flowers (this is called dead heading) and you will have pretty roses. 04-04-13
