Authentic Gourmet 26 French Made Butter Croissants
Good but were better
The recent orders are not as good as the first orders I got of these. They are good but not as fantastic as they were at the beginning of my ordering them. Also they seem smaller and less fluffy inside than when we first got them. Finishing what we have but I will probably not reorder as an autodelivery item. If I'm going to eat this much fat it needs to be really fantastic. Nice treat for once in a while.
These are wonderful. Be sure to cook them exactly as the directions indicate. I used parchment paper on the baking pan & they turned out perfect. If you don't , they will be soggy.
If you don't know your oven you may fail to bake these fine croissants properly.
A regular oven takes more time to bake than a convection oven. If the lower center of the baked croissants is soggy, add 5 or more minutes to the baking time until you get a product that establishes your oven capability. Then stick with that baking time. And, don't open the oven door and interrupt the process with a wave of cold air.
Not As Good As Before
I was on auto-delivery for these. They were huge, buttery and delicious. The last two deliveries were disappointing. Much smaller, no butter brushed over the top, and they did not bake well at the temperature and time I used with the larger size. First of all, if customers are on auto-delivery, they should continue to get the original size through the qualified number of deliveries, since that’s what they signed up for. Secondly, they now come out rather raw on the inside. When I increased the baking time, they became too browned on top and still raw inside. By four trial-and-error attempts, I finally found the temp and time that works for me. I would have renewed my auto-delivery, but now, with the smaller size and not-as-buttery taste as originally, I will buy my croissants from the bakery at the big warehouse store, which taste just as good now for a lot less.
This is the third or fourth time I have ordered these. They should be illegal !!!
croissants the best.
Got them today love love love it ordering more soon THANK YOU QVC.
I purchased these last year and yes the last time they flatten out on me and I gave them another try and purchased another box of them last month. I spoke to customer service regarding these flattening out on me and she said she kept them in the oven 15-25 minutes more than it says on the box and they came out great. Well I took her advice and I ended up keeping them 25 minutes more they did not burn either. They came out great and did not Flatten. Please give these croissants another try you wont be sorry.
Although they smelled wonderful and looked great while in the oven, once they were removed, they collapsed like pancakes. Centers were soggy and could not serve them. Never again, a waste of money. I wish I could rate less than one star.
I've ordered these many times. As good as the ones we ate in France. But I see you raised the PRICE ! They use to be $41. NOW $48, too expensive for my Budget. I use to send them as Gifts, no more.
My first shipment arrived approximately one month after the order was placed and was not able to use the "French Butter Croissants" for the event they were purchased. They arrived intact without directions in a blue bag. Once baked, the inside was a bit gummy. The flavor was good. However, after reading the reviews and based and upon my own encounter with QVC, I will not be reordering the "French Butter Croissants"..
Have ordered these several times and am disappointed with these. Many were broken and not as tasty as in the past. Arrived in a cheap blue plastic bag. Will not order again. Too bad.
These are by far the best Croissants I have ever had. They are light and buttery. Mine came in a blue bag as well. I didn't notice any change. They are simply delicious. Looking forward to my next shipment.
