This thing is incredible Being single I tend to eat a lot of left overs and waste a lot of food....not anymore. Wish I had bought one years ago. It is easy to use and well worth the cost. 05-21-13

Great Product I have not thrown out any freezer burn or ruined leftovers since purchasing the food saver. I now buy in bulk and if food gets "lost" in the freezer it is not a problem. Buy the food saver---it will save you money and time. 05-08-13

FoodSaver has gone downhill I have owned 3 other Foodsavers, and I have been a fan for about 20 years but I really don't like this model. There are things you could do with previous versions that you can't do with this version. (like I used to make a bag from a roll then once the bottom was sealed I put the bag in the machine sideways and seal it again in the middle) effectively making 2 separate section to maybe put 2 hamburgers in it to be sealed and then opened at 2 different times. You can't do that with this version. This version seems to have a hard time sealing things like chip or pretzel bags. It will do it but its a real pain to push the bag into the machine far enough to get it to seal. This version wastes a lot more of the roll to make a bag than the older versions. With the older versions at the bottom of the bag the most you needed to seal the bag was about a 1/2" but this new version takes about and 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" wasting about and inch and at the top it also takes about a half inch more that with the older versions. Altogether, because of this you will get about 10% to 15% fewer bags per roll, depending on the size of bag you make. I've had trouble a couple of times where it didn't suck all the air out before it sealed. and the "Gentle" and "Moist" setting don't seem to make any difference. I put it on "Moist" the other day and it kept sucking long after the liquid reached the top of the bag, filling up the tray on the inside with liquid. Also the wine bottle sealer doesn't work either, I've tried it twice and both times it lost it's seal in less than a day. Altogether I'm very unhappy with this version of the FoodSaver. I will give this away and see if I can find an older model. One like the last one that layed flat and had the bag roll inside. That version worked very well 05-03-13

Item is as Represented I am a first-time FoodSaver purchaser and user (I cannot compare this model with previous models), and, so far, this vacuum sealer has worked as I had hoped. I have not encountered any difficulties, as yet, in using the sealer and I have found the sealer to be easy to use. This package seemed like a reasonable value in that some rolls, bags, and bottle stoppers came included. I purchased a FoodSaver marinater separately and I have been pleased with my results in using the marinater in conjunction with the vacuum sealer. I also decided to order the mason jar sealing attachment, but I have not had the opportunity to use that item as yet. I see this item getting significant use in our household. 05-03-13

Works quite well !! This FoodSaver works quite well ... once I learned how to use it!! I had to call the 800 number to see what I was doing wrong. Once I got the hang of it , it seems to work well. I still need to learn how to put the bag in to seal once the food is in. I have a bit of trouble doing this , but it's still new to me. The food seals very well, so I know it will stay fresh and I won't have freezer burn. Have thrown enough food away and won't have to anymore. The bags are easy to find and can be purchased also online at QVC. Love my FoodSaver!! Thank You!! 05-01-13

Best one I've had I have had two other models of the FoodSaver, and this one is the easiest and the best I have had. Just love it!! Just put it in the slot and it vacuums and seals in a flash. 04-30-13

Mixed feelings I do not like that it is PLASTIC!!! I do not like that the "reuseable" bags can only be used ONCE MORE because of the number of inches of bagging material that it takes to seal, once you cut the bag that far back - you can only reuse it one time. Other than those 2 issues, it works great & seals things wonderfuly. 04-24-13

Just Okay Rather disappointed when I got my new Food Saver...didn't realize it was made of plastic! i had the old one and much preferred it. This seems to take longer for the complete process. 04-24-13

awesome accessory for any kitchen Top of the line machine, we bought this to replace the first Food Saver out which still works well after tons of use. This is a awesome machine that pays for its self within a month or so of use. Be sure to order extra bags when you buy this we ordered the three extra rolls. 04-21-13
