glad I bought this
I have been extremely happy with this purchase. I thought I was going to purchase a Vitamix and then started to search the internet for reviews on both machines and came across a blog called 'blenderdude" ( he also has videos I watched on youtube) and he really enlightened me to what I needed in a high performance blender. He did not endorse either except to say they were both incredible machines and you couldn't go wrong with either one - then I saw that the Blentec was cheaper on QVC so that helped a lot. Since having it I have made wonderful recipes and look forward to many more healthy changes in out diet. I made the right choice for me. If you choose this machine I do not think you will be disappointed.

Love it
this blend is awesome. Great power and creates delicious smoothies, soups, hummus and more. It can be a little loud during some of the blend cycles....but you can see the power is has and the results are delicious. Real smoothies...no chucks. If you are looking for a way to eat healthy..this is a good way to go. I take just lettuce, grapes, water and herbs to create a green drink that is so tasty...and good for you. The soups are fabulous...I serve the butternut squash soup cold...it so good and refreshing. I have made hummus over the last 2 years in a regular blender, but the Blendtec has created hummus with a smooth texture that I never experienced before.....Iike I said...love it. I enjoy it everyday. (i would not recommend as a gift....I think it is something you buy for yourself...tell others about it and make them some samples, if they want it...they can buy it)

Incredible blender
I have used many blenders over the years and have had my share of disappoints. This is truly the blender of blenders. Extremely powerful, efficient, easy to use and very easy to clean.

Every one should Have this BLENDER !
this blendtec blender is great I have made my green smoothies every morning since I got it they taste so good,and smooth ,we put frozen fruit in with no problem,the Blendtec is strong enough to zap everything in to liquid in 40 seconds.You couldn't ask for a better blender,it works great for any recipe.But we use it for our healthy lifestyle we LOVE our BLENDTEC!!

Worth the wait.
I saw the Blendtec being demonstrated in a warehouse store last year and was impressed but I just couldn't spend that much on a blender. I discovered QVC sold the blender and at 5 easy payments, so I decided to order it to see if it really was worth the price and figured I could always return it after comparing it to my other blender. I use my blender everyday and even though well blended, my other blender left a fine sand texture to my smoothies. Not so with the Blendtec. I love it and will not be returning it. It is noisy but I don't care. I love the computerized timing to. It was well worth the wait and thank you QVC for making it affordable to me with the easy payments.

Very powerful machine !!!!
Does the job just like the demos show. If you want totally smooth veggie drinks just run the cycle twice. My first whole veggie drink was celery,carrot,cabbage wedge,2cups spnich, one tomato,fist full of frozen brocolli,1/4 cup jalapenos,salt,pepper and Worcester sauce. It came out totally smooth and no grainy texture. Hope this helps you decide.

Blendtec Review
I really have just two words for my new Blendtec: LOVE IT! My husband and I have only had our Blendtec for almost two weeks and we've used it about 20 times. My body can not process raw veggies and not too many fruits. Now that I have my Blendtec, I've had carrots, spinach, nuts, celery and I even made the Tortilla soup which was excellent! I truly have nothing negative to say. I'm all smiles and loving it. Hoping to introduce it to some good friends next month. I struggled with the price at first, but it's worth every penny!

Blendtec or Vitamix?
This is an exceptional machine. It does have a cheaper, lower quality feel when compared to the Vita-mix. That being said, the shell is very attractive and the carafe can withstand a beating. One major advantage this blender has over the vita-mix is the blade. The blade in the Blendtec is not sharp, just a very powerful motor (CRAZY POWERFUL) driving a 4" piece of steel at outrageous speeds, which makes cleaning this machine not only easy, but incredibly safe (YouTube how to clean a Blendtec--you'll be amazed). The blends are perfect. I have used my Blendtec as a grain mill, whole juicer, spice grinder, to make nut butters, hummus, actual butter; everyday is an infomercial for Blendtec in my kitchen. If you're on the fence between a Blendtec or a Vitamix ask yourself how Important your fingertips are. If you love your fingertips buy the Blendtec. ****please know that I have given my Blendtec Total Blender 2 months of everyday use before writing this review****

Love It
I compared this to the Vitamix and it was no contest. This has the larger jar and 1 horsepower more. The price is also lower on this one. Blendtec also has a wipe clean control panel. Put that together with the fact that it is a fantastic product that operates like a dream and you can't go wrong.

Blentec Blender
I can't say enough for the Blendtec Blender. It makes the best smoothies I've ever made. I've purchased 2 different Vitamix blender and returned both of them. I threw out I don't know how many smoothie mixed with the Vitamix . It just didn't blend right. I also had 1 Mega Ninja it was horrible. Not one smoothie mix have I trashed with the blentec. Everything comes out smooth and well blended. I gvie the Blendtec a 10.. The 8 yr warranty is a plus. You can bet when my warranty is over I will purchase another blentec blender.
