Cook'sEssential Color Smart 11-pc. Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set
So Far So Good
Wish I had seen all the negative reviews before I purchased these. My old cookware with copper bottoms were almost 40 years old and served me well. I hope retiring them was not a mistake. I love the color, cobalt blue, and have used the small skillet. No problems. If I experience any of the problems the others are disappointed by, I certainly will make my feelings known. Of course by that time my return option will have expired. With the exception of the Dell computer that worked for two days and then died, I have always been pleased with my QVC purchases.
saddened by this.
Not a rich woman, to say the least.. I was so elated when i was finally able to purchase them for my daughter's housewarming gift.. Very disappointed. Already scratching. Very unhappy..I have been a QVC customer for about 27-28 years. This is the first time i can honestly say i am regretful. Over the years, here and there, sure there was some minor disatisfaction. Especially with a "sterling silver" bracelet that turned out to be NOT sterling.. but this set takes the cake.
I've had this set since December 2012 and have already replaced it with another brand. Scratched VERY easily.
disappointing to say the least!
I bought this set and was excited to get them. After a couple uses the outside of the pots are chipped and there are scratches on the inside, I followed the directions carefully and always cooked between medium and low heat and they never went into the dishwasher. They did clean up good but this set is going back and I'm getting the Gordon Ramsey set which I hope is better!
I purchased this set about a month ago because I needed a new set and I loved the color.. The first time I made hamburgers in the frying pan, they stuck to the pan! I am very unhappy with the set. the small frying pan is already scratched after one use! Don't purchase these!
Very disappointed in these pans. The coating is all scratched up and coming off already. The pans are only about 6 months old. I wish I could get my money back but too late now. A lot of the other reviews are having the same problems. Maybe there should be a recall. I packed them up for donation and purchased the Gordon Ramsey set.
Nice And Priced Just Right
Bought the set to replace my old pans. I loved the brown color and the look. Unlike other reviews seems to work fine for me. Easy clean up.
NO Helper Handle on Chef Man as stated
The description says there's a helper handle, which I need on chef's pans, but there is none. The gold color is too light on the outside and handle. I wish it were the same color as the inside of the pan. My fry pan is badly scratched inside even though I use safe utensils. Somehow the saute pan got bent. Maybe it fell? Still, I'm surprised it bent so easily. I prefer the hard anodized or stainless steel pans with the colored nonstick interiors. I bought this set for an induction burner. I own a Guy Fieri large chef pan which I prefer, but unfortunately, it's not for induction burners.
PLEASE INCLUDE HELPER HANDLES ON LARGER PANS like chef pans. I will never purchase a pan or set again without a helper handle. My premiere stainless steel nonstick 3 qt saute pan is too heavy without a helper handle. Also, fix this description and remove the nonexistent "helper handle" reference!
I ordered this set in the bronze about six months ago. This is the forth set of cooks essential that I have ordered and all the others were wonderful. But I do not believe this inner process was tested long enough. They can not take high heat at all. They get little
bubble in the bottom and sides and they pop open and leaves the pan looking terrible. I have quit using them.
Not As Wonderful As Presented
Have been using this set for a little over a year. Like some of the other reviewers, we had scratches and even deeper divots after using just a couple times, using plastic and wood utensils. They do seem to cook well and for the most part are non-stick. The steel bolts on the inside of the pans (where the handles are attached) seem to grab and hold some foods, like scrambled eggs. The bolts tarnished or faded in color the first time they were submerged in liquid while cooking. For what we paid for this set (got as a TSV) and the amount of pieces we received, I guess we got a decent deal. I did expect them to be scratch free a little longer than they actually were, based on the presenter's claims.
disappointed on the quality
I have had other Cook's Essential cook ware in the past but this set just seems cheap compared to the prior set I had for many years. I loved the Copper color but not much else. Pans scratch easy even when only using non stick utensils. Wish I had not purchased this set.
nonstick but easily peels
The cookware does good with food not sticking, but after a few uses one of the pans had 2 places were nonstick interrior peeled off in the bottom of the pan after cooking spaghetti sauce in which nothing was burnt on. Very disappointed that the nonstick finish was so thin and did not last long. I never used metal utensils even though the spokesman said you could use metal utensils with this set with no problems.
