Disappointed
The blades are sharp, but I was not able to adjust the thickness of what I wanted to cut. Basically I made a mess any time I tried to use it. At first I thought I was using it incorrectly, but after about six attempts I've totally given up with it.

Great Value
I have only used the Mandoline Slicer one time and it worked well. I'm sure the more expensive ones that I have seen might work better, but then they cost a lot more. I am very satisfied with this product.

Slicer is ok.
I have a small coffee shop and we bought this to replace our mandolin that is getting dull. The first thing I noticed is- it doesn't have a safety guard for storage. Second, it is for light usage-and it works fine for that. I would use this item in my home. It is very sharp and cuts veggies cleanly and cleans up nicely.

whew! thought it was just me!
I have been so intrigued with this slicer so a good while. I finally decided to purchase it because it looks so easy and simple to use. Well, NOT!! I am so disappointed. Working with tomatoes was not as shown on TV; it is difficult to use with other vegetables as well. I find it to be bit cumbersome as well. I have had other mandolines in the past, and they seemed to be easier to use. I am also having difficulty in changing the blades as well. Sometimes they get stuck. I can think of better ways to use the money I spent on this for something else that will help me prep my foods. Sorry...back it goes.

Disappointing
I'm still thinking of sending this back. The one I received is defective; it is sprung and will NOT sit level. I still have some time. Also, there are NOT five blades; there are two blades and three guides for thickness of slices. The guides should be marked thin, medium, thick so that I don't have to line them up each time to see which one is the one I want.

Bad purchase
No directions as to what can be done with which blade. I wish I would have never bought it.

Would not purchase
I have wanted a mandoline slicer for a long time. This one is hard to use. When slicing a potato, you cannot slice it all the way down. Left with the end of the potato. Cannot see the size of the slicers. Looked very easy on TV. Wish I could send it back.

not as easy as it looks
really wanted a mandoline but a little disappointed with the ease of use, looks a LOT more functional on tv.

disappointment
I was not as happy as I thought I would be with this product. I have wanted a mandoline for quite sometime, and thought this would be great. I tried purchase out next afternoon and was surprised that 2 of the blades are the same and it does not slice with as much ease and they show on tv and you don't get quite as accurate cuts. I am willing to try again and if not happy I will return. I definetly would not pay the full price.

Very Disappointed
The Mandoline was a great disappointment. It certainly did not work like it was shown on TV. I can't even figure out how to get the object to be sliced into the holder. I wasted my money. since this was my first purchase from QVC, I don't think there will be another. It came with no instructions.

disappointed
I love the machine but I am not happy that for whatever reason there is no storage blade to protect your fingers. The old model had it and it saved my fingertips a few times when reaching in the cabinet to get it.
