great concept...not so good execution
My first impression when pulling it out of the box was that it felt a bit cheap. I bought it primarily as a salad spinner and it seems to opporate very well as such. I just had friends over and we made 5 lbs of French fries and I used the spinner to remove excess water (as the potatoes were cut and put in cold water) and it did a great job minimizing hot oil splatter when fries were dropped into frier. I have not tried the mandolin as it looked a bit suspect to begin with. For now mine is holding up well even though it seems a bit flimsy.

Outstanding product!!
I broke my last salad spinner a few years ago and I have asked for a new one a few times each year, for example on my birthday, Xmas, Mother's Day... etc.
So for my birthday this year I bought this for myself.
What an excellent gift!!!
I am thrilled with my birthday present!!!
I even bought one for my daughter for her birthday in June!

Cheap
Pretty cheaply made. Did not "clean" the salad leaves adequately. While the mandolin slicer is a good idea, the plastic cover keeps sliding off during salad spinning. I returned mine 2 days after I received it. I think a remake is necessary to make this a good product.

salad spinner
This works OK as a spinner but you must spin several times to get the water out. The lid is hard to get on because the inside basket is extremely flimsy. The slicer is worthless and is silly to waste the time trying to clean the mushed veggies from it. Threw out the slicer portion. Will use the spinner but is very cumbersome to move/carry.

Big Waste Of Money!
Good Concept, but very poor design.
Spinner Drive Mechanism Gears Stripped After only 3 Uses.

salad spinner ok
The salad spinner is ok, it does a good job of spinning out the moisture, however the
slicing blades are useless. When I first opened the unit and went to put it in the cabinet
the clear plastic cover to the blades would not stay on - never did - finally threw it away.
I loved the concept of washing greens, and then slicing cucumbers etc to go into salad, but doesn't work well for slicing.

I love this!
I don't understand all the negative reviews. This salad spinner makes cleaning lettuce a breeze, and I love just pressing down on the handle to spin it. I use it to wash grapes and other small fruits also. My old spinner had a handle to crank and it always skipped, plus bounced all over the counter. As soon as I tried this one by Prepoligy, the old one got tossed out! I haven't use the slicing blades much. I'm buying another for a family member.

very disappointed
Slicers are worthless. Not sharp enough and vegs just get all smashed up under the blade. It's going back.

Worst Purchase Ever
I would give it a negative star if I could. The idea itself of chopping veg. into the same container is a good. But there are Major FLAWS - the pieces have to be a perfect size to slice, and they get hung up at the top in the spokes of the lid. Most vegetables won't even work. The food pusher will only accomodate a certain size piece.. .... Looked a lot better on tv. Only good as a salad spinner which makes it too costly..............Wish I could get my money back.

Not a good product.
I was really looking forward to this product. The first time I used it, I just tried the slicer. It worked well for the onion and cabbage I sliced. When I opened the lid, the handle popped up, the button to release the handle popped off and the spring went flying. There must have been another piece holding the spring in place, but I haven't found it yet. Needless to say, the handle will not stay down now. I would send it back, but my 30 days was up by the time I used it the first time.

Poor Engineering
I enjoy most Prepology products. The bowl that comes with this one is made of thin easily breakable plastic. Base is not sturdy for the spinner. The handle made to hold veggies and fruit for slicing while using the blades will not hold anything securily. I am disappointed, and will be giving mine away if someone wants it. Too late to return.

Enjoy Salad Much More Now....
that I have a good salad spinner, with some issues. The lock on the top is very hard to move. You do have to spin the salad numerous times to get most of the water out, which takes more time. Haven't used the slicers yet, but will in time. Still enjoying salads much more with a few issues.
