Fantastic!
After shopping around for a good while to replace our previous sandwich maker, thankfully, I ran across the Cook's Essentials Non-Stick Sandwich Maker & Grill Combo. This machine is name correctly! It is for certain a kitchen essential! Our family enjoys making and creating our own personal sandwiches, burritos, snacks, etc. The possibilities are endless with this machine and one's imagination. If you can crave it, think it, or even try to create something unheard of, this sandwich maker/grill will do all the work in cooking your hunger, perfectly! I am thrilled to mention that the grill feature is great for cooking frozen foods and snacks. As importantly this essential sandwich maker/grill is great for entertaining. Again, we are thrilled with this small purchase, which in return gives us big results. You should get one for you and another for a friend!

this was great for making crispy yummy grilled Sandwiches but it burnt out fast and would not heat after a few uses

Disappointed
I purchased this and was very excited. After using it the first time to make a THIN burger, the grease did pour out all over the counter top. I put a cookie sheet under it and was happy. Then- the non-stick surface began peeling off before I even had a chance to clean it up. It is a great idea but this particular product needs to be taken back to the drawing board.

Did not heat on the top
Unfortunatly this sandwich maker did not heat on the top. did not use it until after the 30 day mark so it could not be returned. It went in the trash

Not what I expected
For some this may be ok, but it was not for me. Once grilled the taste was not good. Also the green light never came on. Better taste and quicker to grill on stovetop.

Don't Bother
Tried three times - once a day for three days - and each time it heated less. The first time the grill seemed to work as advertised. The next day not so much. Left me with a half raw chix patty, Third day did not heat at all even though I waited a much longer heating time. I really wanted to try one of these grills so I guess I'll try a different brand.

No kitchen should be without!
I bought this a couple of weeks ago. What a wonderful purchase. My daughter uses it quite a bit to make pannini's since her work schedule varies. It heats up quite nicely at a very high temp. It takes a very short time to heat anything up.. I think I might try to make some little fruit pies on it. I bet they will turn out great. I don't have any complaints as the green light turns on. What is amazing, is the clean up. The trays slide out and wash up beautifully. I just wash up any melted cheese with a dish rag. I thought the price was a total giveaway. It just looks really cute on the counter. I got it in the beautiful red. Great purchase!

so disappointed
was anxious to use grill for sandwiches but that was a joke. I waited 35 minutes for green light to come on but that didn't happen. I went ahead and put a cheese sandwich on trying to make a "grilled" cheese but that turned out to be a soggy mess. Cheese ran everywhere. I immediately cleaned and boxed the unit. Use the return label on back of the invoice, call customer service and they will flag your account so when it is received by them you will be given credit for the shipping and handling because item is defective. Be sure to mark defective on the invoice under reason for return. The green light (or lack of) seems to be the problem.

Like the idea of it
I got this item today. It took 20 mins to heat up and 15 mins to make a the grilled cheese sandwhiches.
I will try it as a grill press tommorrow.
The plates were very easy to remove and clean. I am glad it was only 15 dollars.

not intended for thick greasy meat
I love this sandwich maker and who cares if the light comes on or not; how hard is it to wait a few minutes with grill Closed to heat up ? I use sandwich bread to make pizza pockets and my grandkids Love it ! Hot dogs and paninni's work great on the grill.I mean if you want a grill for big thick meats and the like then maybe this isn't for you..but for brownie and cake triangles, pocket sandwiches.pizza pockets,hot dogs,ruebens, and pannini's This is a great little grill.It's small and cheap what more can you ask for ?

Very Disappointed!
I have never owned a grill-combination appliance before so I wanted to try one. I ordered one of these for myself and a friend. The first and second time I tried it, the green light never lit up! I gave up. I would return it but the shipping would probably cost more than the purchase price. I was really anxious to use it, but it didn't work out.

DISAPPOINTED
I received the product and the red light that states it is heating worked. However, the green light never lit up to let me know the grill was ready. I just had to try it to see if it
was hot enough. Also when grilling the fat from the meat just stayed on the grill and the meat just sat in it making it greasy. There was no way for the grease to drain off. I would have sent the grill back but the cost was almost half of what I paid for it. I would not recommend this product.
