♦ Beauty & Function ♦
♦ I received this beautiful baker in the Venice pattern several weeks ago, but didn't use it until last week. It is a very heavy, good quality piece, and the food came out perfect. Nothing stuck. Cleanup was easy. I wash by hand, because I'm a single person, and it would be silly for me to use a dishwasher. I use a countertop Brick Oven, and this baker fits fine. I love it. Tonight, I will be baking a meatloaf. Can't wait. ♥Ea♥

Beautiful - BUT
This baker is beautiful, cleans easily. 6 months after receiving mine it has cracked completely across the bottom and I can no longer use it. I did not misuse it and I am extremely careful with my dishes (I am still using dishes and bowls that have been in my collection 30 + years).
QVC will refund my money but I must ship it back at my expense even though I feel it is a defective piece. I had planned on purchasing more to the set but now I will not.

Beautiful but be careful of the lasagna recipe
The piece itself is beautiful. I love it. It arrived with a seafood lasagna recipe that I tried last night. I assumed that the lasagna would fit in this dish. It does not. Fortunately I realized it early enough to switch to a baking dish that held 1/3 more. The recipe called for a lot of liquid, which I assumed was necessary because of the no-cook lasagna noodles. The end result was so much liquid that it did not cut into neat squares. While the seafood lasagna was delicious, it was very, very rich, and I shudder to think of the calories. The heavy cream alone accounted for 150 calories per serving, and then there are the butter and cheese. I will use this baking dish a lot, but I will think twice before using one of Doris's recipes.

Cheap Stoneware
I used this piece 4 x and it cracked in the 375 oven while I was baking chicken. It might be a defective piece. I'm passed the 30 days and cannot return....
I would not reccomend this beautiful baker...The design is awesome. The user ability is poor....

Perfect
The name Doris Roberts did not ring a bell. I must have missed her presenting the products on air or did not even pay attention to the face on the qvc page or it wasn't there when I ordered it. I went back to write a review and saw her picture and said "this is the mother from Everybody Loves Raymond." Well, I had the product on my wish list and the baker pan finally went on easy pay so I decided to try it. I am glad I did!! Between Doris and Lidia they have the best kitchen products I have ever tried...and believe me I have tried most of them out there.

Love the Venice
I have a few pieces of the deruta that this design is crafted after. This piece looks great with them. I can't believe it's safe for DW, micro, oven etc. My inclination is to baby it like I do my deruta handpainted pieces, but what a treat! So glad I came upon this dish and this line!

Excellent!
Just baked a dish in this last nite. I baked the same dish last week I a Technique cast iron baker and the difference was amazing!!!
Don't hesitate - it works and it's beautiful. PLEASE bring more pieces to QVC.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
I purchased this when it was a lunchtime special, and I am sooooo glad I did. This seemed costly at the normally offered price. After seeing the spectacular beauty of this piece, I was floored. It takes a lot to make me go crazy over kitchenware. Not only is this piece a beauty and looks expensive, it bakes and cleans up like a dream. I first baked banana bread in it, and it was perhaps the best banana bread I have ever made. Worth every penny.

Just Beautiful!
Ordered this in the Sicily pattern when it was a one time offer special. So glad I did. I have the large baker in this pattern and I love these pieces. I am waiting for the platters to return as I missed all of these when they first aired. This is high quality bakeware that is hand painted by the best artists. Hope Doris returns with more.

Absolutely beautiful!
Rec'd this and was so pleased to see what a gorgeous piece this is. It is larger and deeper than I thought, and the painting is excellent.....This is a very heavy piece....you can just feel the quality when you pick it up.....
