Disappointed
Very disappointed in the performance of the large tongs. I couldnt even pick up
a piece of meat with them without the tong sliding off the meat. The small ones
work good on pickles & olives.

Ugh!
I agree with Waterloogal, the large one will not grip anything that is heavier than toast. A super idea but no excuse for this higher end brand to sell such a shoddy product. If I hadn't gotten it as an inexpensive Lunchtime Special I would return it; not worth the hassle plus the little one is useable.

One good and one not so good
I thought these were such a good idea on the presentation. But disappointed when I received them. I cannot get the large one to grip anything. It just won't hold. I reviewed several presentations by MCM and he holds food and turns them with the large one. I just can't figure out how. Must be the way he holds it. However, the little one is a gem! I love it for the toaster. Great for small relishes, etc. The small one is a keeper!! I gave a set of these to my daughter with the warning regarding the large one. Haven't gotten a response from her yet. I am stubborn and will continue to try and master working with the large tong. If you purchase the set, just beware of the large one. But you will use the small one and love it! If you find the answer to using the large one, please share.

Also great for stirring food!
I absolutely love these tongs. I have had them for several months and use them 4 or 5 times a week. I noticed on a cooking show that the chef was using tongs similar to these to stir and flip. That is how I use them. They are easy to squeeze together and pick things up nicely. I was surprised at how often I grab the little tongs rather than the bigger tongs. I wash them in the dishwasher and nothing sticks to them.

Pros and Cons!
The small one works great but the large one has difficulty holding onto anything that is oily, such as sausage. Better to use it for other things.

Won't Grab
I got these because I was tired of the rust on my other tongs. Well, these won't rust, but they won't grab you food either. Worthless.

Not for me
I bought these because being silicone they would not get hot. I find them to be awkward, clumsy and hard to use. I can't even pick up weiners with these tongs. Seems they flex too much. Oh well, should have tried them before I threw away the receipt.

Very useful tongs
Used large one for turning items in a skillet or toaster oven.- worked very well! The small one is good for getting toast out of toaster and for using in an olive or pickle jar.
I threw away my wooden tongs!

Useful and on clearance.
Nice item for taking stuck bread out of toasters and to take various foods out of jars. A needed tool for the kitchen.

practical
i find these practical and easy to use. they are excellent for removing toast from the toaster-no more broken wooden toaster tongs. the large are good for use in a low sided pan like a grill or griddle pan. the small are good for toaster tongs and for removing olives and small pickles out of jars.

Worst I ever used!
These do not hold onto anything. I got so frustrated trying to use these on so many tries when cooking, that I finally said forget it!! and threw the large away. You can't turn with the small ones either, but at least you can get olives out of a jar. I waited longer then the 30 days to open them or they would go back.

Doesn't Hold on to anything!
Liked the idea of the silicone but these are worthless! anything you try to grab with these tongs slips out..Sending mine back, Ill go back to my metal ones that work.
