I have a lot of kitchenaid items that I love but this mixer is useless .No power. The one star given is for the color cranberry that looks like hot pink.

I purchased this hand mixer basically for the name, but after I have used it a couple of times I am very disappointed that the speed it not there and the beaters are not really
I cannot return it since it is past the time but I will not buy again nor will I recommend.

The Power Is AWESOME, I can Make It Go Extremely Slow, That The Flour Doesn't Fly All Over, or Crank It 2 A Medium Speed, Or Go Really Fast, Like Wiping Egg Whites. I Must Admit, When 1st Trying It, I Didn't Think It Had Much Pep, Till I Read The Instructions. My Only Regret Is That I Didn't Buy It Year's Ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Would B An EXCELLENT IDEM 4 ANY COOK !!!!!!!!

Very disappointed. Has little power. Only good for mixing a cake mix.

I have had this mixer for years with no problem. If you look at the beaters and the bottom of the mixer you will see what beater goes into which slot. If you turn the mixer on full speed to begin, of course, Flour etc. will fly out of the bowl. READ INSTRUCTIONSs AND USE COMMON SENSE.

I have had this mixer for over a year now. I am very disappointed with this purchase. As many of the reviewers state, the blades insert awkwardly, the on off switch along with the speed regulator, is awkward as well. All in all, this mixer is is more frustrating than pleasurable to use. I trusted the Kitchen Aid brand name and reputation that this product does not live up to. I would not recommend!

I've had this mixer for about two months so I can't speak to it's long term durability. I can tell you that I bought one for my daughter when I bought myself one, and we both like them. Neither my daughter or I have had any problem with the beaters coming out and they serve their purpose well. I have a stand mixer for heavy duty jobs and don't expect this hand mixer to handle things like stiff cookie dough. It does great on cake mixes, mashed potatoes, things like that. If you use this for it's intended use, I think you'll be satisfied. If you want a heavy duty mixer, you need to buy a stand mixer.
