K25556 - Set of 2 Vacuum Insulated AutoSeal 16oz.Elite Travel Tumblers
these are the good ones!
if you are careful in putting the tops on and make sure they are sealed, this cup wont leak and will keep coffee hot for a long time. too bad they are discontinued.
I bought this for my mother, but it came with two. I kept the other. I bought back in 2010, and it still works beautifully. I have dropped and dented mine, and the seal still works great. Just doesn't work for carbonated drinks. If I had known it worked so well I would have bought two more sets. Now it only comes with one for the same price. I think it works better for hot drinks though.
These are great travel mugs. We use these daily and they have yet to fail us. Keeps hot things hot and cold things cold.
Love! Love this travel mug! use it all the time!
The coffee stays hot for hours!Keeps the coffee hot without the top for hours!
Didn't Last Long
These mugs are not as durable as the new design. After using them a few times the auto seal buttons got stuck and the whole cover came apart. The newer design has a smaller button that is more durable and has lasted for a year now. Pay the extra and get the new ones!
True to It's Claim
I have had 2 of these mugs for years. We have 2 homes and I leave one in each home at all times. Every morning I take hot coffee to work. When I start my coffeemaker each morning, I fill my mug with hot water from the tap and screw the lid on to heat the inside of the mug, preparing it for hot coffee. Last thing before I head out the door, I empty the hot water from the mug, put a little milk in the mug (personal preference) and finish filling with hot coffee from the coffeemaker. I then screw the lid back on the mug.
THEN I go to the kitchen sink, SLOWLY turn the mug upside down over the sink and shake it a little bit to make sure I have the lid screwed on properly. I have learned from experience that occasionally the lid is on a little crooked and the mug will leak if this is not corrected. If it does leak, remove the lid, properly align it and screw it back on. Check again by holding the mug upside down and shaking it - over the sink, of course.
When the lid is tight and there is no leaking, hold the mug upright, place a paper towel or dishcloth over the front opening of the lid where you will be drinking and release it with the lid button. This allows any trapped air to burst out with a little liquid and stops the 'spitting' that happens (in your face) when you take the first drink. You are ready to go out the door, into your car with a hot mug of coffee that will not leak and will stay hot for a long morning's work.
I have been going through this ritual and enjoying hot coffee at work for years. Each evening I either wash my mug and lid in hot, soapy water with the rest of our supper dishes or run both pieces through the dishwasher if I am running a load of dishes. I have found them to be pretty much indestructable, while doing the job they are advertised to do.
This is a good value, people. I am going to order 2 more when I finish writing this review. I am confident you will enjoy them if you order them too!
Love It Love It Love It!
Ordered a couple to replace one stolen in the gym while working out, and can't say enough about them. . . . but we just love them! They go every place with us in the car.
Thanks for a great product.
" NO SEAL, NO DEAL "
My husband was leaving for work had on his dress uniform. Since I had purchased other Travel mugs similar to this in the past from QVC I thought no problem !
WE followed the instructions and he went to take a sip of coffee before he left and it leaked all over his cleaned and pressed dress shirt ! Hubby is not too happy, said , you can send this back.
He told me to get the other mugs that I have purchased in the past for he never had to worry about a leak with the other mugs.
You know they looked so nice , but they are going back.
FANTABULOUS ! ! ! !
I bought one for myself last year and LOVED it soooo much ! ! ! I ended up buying these for all my family for Mother's Day, Father's day and for my co-workers on Nurses Day. PLEASE MAKE A LARGER CAPACITY ! ! ! ! !
I bought these to put on my bike to keep my water ice cold. After 3 hours in 70 degree weather, the water was still cold (I put refridgerated water inside) but the ice cubes were all melted. The button to push in to let the liquid out is hard to push (perhaps with more use, it will loosen up a bit?) I like that if it tips over, the contents won't spill out. I haven't tried it with hot liquids yet. I'll use the other one for my gym bag.
Overall a great tumbler
I like these tumblers as they really do keep things cold for a long period of time. I always put ice and water in it and take it in the bedroom at night. When I get up in the morning there is still ice in it. I do wish there were an easier way to clean the lid though. I always wash it immediately if I put something other than water in it, but it is nearly impossible to get everything out of it. After several months of use, the lid mechanism started sticking. I have so many pieces of clothing with ice tea stains from the thing spitting at me when I open it or not fully closing when I release it.
Used for two years
I've used these tumblers for almost two years now and, honestly, I wouldn't use anything else. I don't even use glasses anymore because I hate slick glasses and watered down drinks from ice! I've ordered four and three have taken up legs and walked away. I drink everything from my last cup and for kids, there is nothing better on the market today that I can find. I've left my cup in a hot car for several hours and there was still ice in it in the summertime and I live in Texas! That's unheard of! I've dropped it on everything from my keyboard to the ground and still no leaks in all this time and the temperatures are still holding up. I've even taken a drink at night and forgot to put it back on the nightstand. It was bed my bed the next morning and I had no leaks. Because I have an older model than what's shown here. I'm ready to buy more only because the color is coming off the cup due to excessive use. Seriously, I got my $ worth and then some. One tip I would give people is this: for cold drinks, add more ice than liquid if you're going to be away for long period of time. This works perfect and there isn't much "watered-down" flavor from the ice either but I really can't explain that. BTW, I do drink carbonated drinks in mine and have the whole time I've had them so I don't understand why they say not to. I do "burp" the cup before I take a drink though and I never over fill it. I'm not saying do this. I'm only saying what I do and have done from day one and I'm still using the first cup I purchased. The worst thing you can put in this cup, in my opinion, is probably orange juice with pulp because the pulp sticks to top of lid and its very hard to get out if you don't wash immediately. Same goes for milk. Wash immediately after drinking and you'll be fine.
The only thing they needed to work on was making it simpler to clean the lid and I've seen their new design where the lid comes apart but QVC doesn't have it and I can't wait to try it. You have to order directly from Contigo. There's a handle on this new design as well.
I really wish QVC would pick up this new design and give us a better price.
P.S. If you have elderly, disabled people and/or kids in your life, get these cups. They'll save you a ton of cleaning up and walking back to refresh drinks!
