I love this product
This was my first experience with a food dehydrator and i love it. It makes the best fruit treats ever. I haven't tried the meat yet but will soon. One thing that i was worried about after reading other reviews was how hard it was going to be to clean the trays after bits of stuff dried to them. Problem easily solved. I just fill the bathtub with very hot water and soak them for about 30 minutes. The stuff just falls off and all i have to do is rinse and put away until next time. I would recommend this product.

Excellent for Beef Jerky
I bought this dehydrator to make beef jerky. The entire machine is made of plastic (except some of the internal components of course). It looks sturdy and durable enough to do the job its meant to do. The dehydrator is large and comes with four trays. Each can hold about one pound of jerky beef (before dehydrating of course). The fan is not noisy at all. I can run it in the kitchen and watch in the next room without a problem. Due to the heat generated I prefer to run it in the wash room though.
The built in time is a BIG advantage, just set the temperature and time and forget it.
I bought two extra trays and now can do a large amount of jerky at one time. About the only thing that I don't enjoy is washing the trays, but this has nothing to do with the machine or its design.
I can't recommend this machine enough. For the home beef jerky maker, or would be maker, this is probably the best way to go.
