great but wish it had
This is a great stock pot except for the fact you really don't want to make a soup with a cover that has holes in it. Although it's great for draining, not practical as a cover for normal simmering. I wish they had made it like the smaller version I got a few years ago so it could close the holes and simmer without losing heat and steam

teflon coming off
Love the pot, great size and the lid works great. However, not recommending because the teflon coating is coming off. I just purchased in June of 2012 and used 3 times. Sending it back for a replacement. If replacement doesn't have a problem I'll change my rating to recommend.

Great stockpot
Love this stockpot. However i see that the teflon coating is starting to peel off already.
I have not used it that long. For the price I'm a little disappointed.

I like this pot!
This is a great pot. The only negative I can see is that it takes longer for the water to boil since the lid is vented and therefore does not hold the heat inside. However, it is great when you go to drain the water off the food since you don't need a colander nor need to tilt a regular lid at an angle where you have a chance of losing the contents or having the lid slip, both of which have happened to me which is why I got this pot in the first place. Maybe if you could buy a regular lid separately or there was a cover over the vents that you could pull back to drain???

Very pleased with this stockpot.
Works well on my ceramic cooktop. Doesn't slide around. Quality construction. I also purchased the 1 quart and 3 quart sauce pans which I would also rate at five stars. I would have purchased the set but I have no use for an 8" or 10" skillet. The biggest one I could find was the Circulon 6 quart chef's pan, so I bought it. A: It's not actually a skillet and B: It doesn't match my Technique. Please make a 12" skillet. Many of us need large capacity cookware.

GREAT SIZE FOR A FAMILY AFFAIR
purchased this for my daughter and family. she loves the capacity and the locking lid feature. i was amazed how much macaroni she could cook now without the boiling over process!!!! Great for her 4 growing children. i am happy i purchased this for her.

PERFECT!!!
I bought this stockpot and another sauce pan to compliment a TECHNIQUE set I recently bought. This is really big and will hold a lot. Love the locking lid with colander draining top!! Saves on space in my dishwasher using less!
Really easy to lock the lid in place. Super quality! I will never again buy any other brand!
This cookware heats up really fast...I love it!
