Didn't last I got one for home and another for the office. They both broke within one year. 01-06-13
Lasted 9 Months I purchased this Cuisinart Single Serve coffee maker for my husband Christmas 2011. I had researched the product and found that Cuisinart had a three year warranty versus Keurig's one year warranty. It seemed that some people were having issues with their coffee makers so I thought I better go with the brand that had the better warranty or so I thought. After 9 months of occasional use, our unit died. It started off just shorting the cups of water from 8 ounces to about 6. It then just wouldn't come on. I contacted the company and to get a replacement they want you to pay $10 for them to ship you a "new" one and then you have to pay $40 to send the defective unit back. I was more than upset over this so I asked to speak to the supervisor. She referred me to the back of the manual where it talks about their three year "limited" warranty. It does mention there being a cost of $10 to send the "repaired" or replacement unit back. It seems to me they are just getting these defective units back refurbishing them and sending them back as warranty replacements. I was not happy. I paid almost $200 for a unit that I thought would last. I never dreamed after 9 months it would quit completely. The supervisor told me that the company could not afford to pay the shipping on all the defective units. That tells me something right there. I also think if they are charging $200 for something that is worth $5 they are more than money ahead. I would pass on this and be very leery of any purchase from this company. They don't have a solid product or they would be standing behind a real warranty and not a "limited" one. I am very disappointed. 01-01-13
Great! Gotta go along with so many others--I've had 3 Keurigs and they all stopped working. I've had this one for quite some time and it works like a charm. I couldn't be happier. Thanks Cuisinart! 12-28-12
No more old cold coffee for me! I love my Cuisinart Brewer. It makes great coffee, and now I can have my dark roast and hubby can have his light roast without brewing two pots! It makes great tea too, and I love being able to get hit water for oatmeal or soup. My favorite purchase this year. 12-18-12
AWESOME! I've had 3 Keurig brands before and they all stopped working after about one year, then I bought this and never had an issue...Oh...REMEMBER only use DISTILLED WATER (for all Keurig type makers!) 12-02-12
How did I enjoy my coffee without this! I have owned most every brand style and new idea in coffee makers out there....none come close to this product. It looks great on my counter....coffee is excellent and this machine is commercial quality you would find in a restaunt....people visiting have commented on how sturdy...elegant......and overall great tasting coffee.... I recommend this machine for anyone who is a coffee connoisseur!!!!! 11-30-12
Lasted only about two years Bought this in Jan. 2011. Started about two months ago not brewing. Would not fill a 12 ounce cup of coffee. Had to brew two 12 ounce cups to get one full cup. I cleaned and de-scaled as instructed to do in the manual, no fix. Would not recommended this particular coffee maker. I love the single coffee K-cups, so will have to buy another brand. 11-25-12
Mixed feelings so far Our keurig is three years old and was starting to give us some problems, so I bought this for my husband for his birthday. I made the purchase based on three features: 1) Quieter 2) Rinse feature 3) Temperature control Before I get to how it has performed on those three, first let me say that I've had 3 Keurigs (I have two office locations, plus home) and I've never had this problem. We have been using it for one week and cannot get rid of the "plastic" taste in the tea. You can't taste it in the coffee. I've rinsed it, ran cup after cup, and flushed with vinegar. If this doesn't subside, the machine will HAVE to go back. Also, the water storage is much harder to grip than the Keurig. It doesn't sound like a big problem, but 80 ozs. of water isn't light and the Keurig had a shape that you could grip, I keep struggling with the Cuisinart. As to how it is performing otherwise. 1) It is MUCH quieter. Very nice! A+ here. 2) I'm disappointed in the rinse feature. It thought it would rinse into the tray or have a tank that it rinses into, but you have to dirty a cup to flush it into. I was expecting a more sophisticated solution. 3) Temperature control. I thought I could pick the temp of each cup that I brewed. NOT SO. You have to set the machine to a default setting and it stays there unless you change it. I was hoping that I could select my cup size and how hot I wanted it EACH time I brewed. Not easily accomplished. My hubbie and I prefer very different temperatures since he drowns his with cream and I drink it black. Bottom line - if the plastic taste doesn't go away, it is going back. It also seems to take longer to start up than the Keurig, but if you leave it on all the time, that is not an issue. Would I buy again? I'm leaning towards no. Since the only feature I'm really happy with is the quieter operation, the new Keurigs are supposed to better in that area as well. 11-07-12
THE ONE! I bought the SS-700 for my husband for Father's Day, and we have enjoyed it all summer. We had two previous Keurigs, which were noisy even after de-scaling. This Cuisinart SS-700 is virtually soundless and brews a perfect cup every time; compared to the loud and grindy sounding Keurig, I think this coffeemaker is truly divine! I will never go back to a Keurig....I am a happy consumer! 08-28-12
great machine This machine is versatile, makes great coffee, tea. It is also good for making iced tea by the glass.. It has a rinse feature which ceans the where yoy put the k cup so the flavors don't carry over to the nrxt cup. I had one of these macines before and gave to a family member and hot myself the new one. The older macine is still working and the ne one is great i would recommend if your interested in a k cup brewer. 07-20-12
Still the best Single Cup Brewer This is an update to my review when I first got my brewer. It's still the best. Water is much hotter than the Keurig brewer. After almost 2 years I started having a problem with my brewer. I called Cuisinart and explained my problem and they are replacing it. Just had to pay $10 for shipping of the new one and have to ship the old one back. Cuisinart products have a 3 year waranty and they do stand behind them. So if anyone is having a problem with their brewer contact them. Great Brewer and great customer service by Cuisianrt. 06-26-12
LOVE IT! I've had a Keurig machine; I've had the Breville; Neither are even comparable to the CuisinArt. It's MUCH more sturdy, and it meets every need I have. I LOVE IT!! -JoeyLee* 06-02-12
