After 2 of the other brand, and constant issues, I decided to purchase the Cuisinart. We love it!!! I love being able to have 12 oz. cups of tea and the family also enjoys the larger mugs of coffee. I'm so glad I decided to go with this machine.

I bought this unit as a replacement for the Keurig 550 which from day one never worked properly. The last two Keurigs that I purchased from QVC barely made it a year thus the reason I will never purchase another Keurig! The Cuisinart so far (I've had it for a few weeks) has been nice. I love that I can use any k-cup. I really love that I can use any coffee I choose with the adapter that is included. I love the size of the water well as I'm not refilling constantly. The rinse button is an excellent feature which helps to move out trapped coffee grounds that can clog up the unit!! The big selling point for me was the 3 year warranty...so if I do have problems...it will be taken care of (hopefully)!! I'm still nervous but hopeful that this unit will be my lucky charm!!

I purchased this from another retailer but I love this machine. I wanted a K Cup machine and did a lot of review reading. This machine had a 2 year mfg warranty instead of a 1 year like the regular K Cup brewers. I use it daily at work. About a year or more past purchase I had leaking problems.....no problem, I called Cuisinart, they sent me a return label which included shipping. They sent me a new machine before they received back the defective one. Great service. I highly recommend this machine! I also love you can brew a 14oz cup if you buy strong pods, unlike the other mfg that you can only do up to 12 oz. Backed by QVC too, you can't go wrong.

I love this brewer so much that I purchased an extra one just in keep in storage. It is manufactured very well, has a huge water reservoir and offers more options than any of the other brewers on the market. This purchase has motivated me to shop for other Cuisinart products as well and of the ones I have purchased thusfar, I have been very pleased with their performance as well.

Less than a month into my SS-700 I had to return my cuisinart. The digital display is running through its options, for instance the clock ccontinously runs through its hours option without being prompted. The serving option is running through its choices without being prompted, I physically have to hold the button down to make it stop and manipulate the buttons so it can stop on its right serving. When I leave the house I have to unplug the coffeemaker in fear of it causing a fire due to its electronic malfunction. I still give it 2 stars account of it did make a wonderful cup of coffee when operational.

I have had a nightmare with this machine. Cuisinart replaced it 3 times in one year and said if they have to replace it again, they will refund my money. It simple stops working, first it was after a couple weeks, then around a month, then a couple months. The one I have now is not working well, very slow and makes a lot of noise. I would NOT recommend this coffee maker.
You have to do w/o a coffee maker while you ship back the bad one and wait for Cuisinart to receive it, then ship you a new one. Took 2 wks, one time.

My family and I LOVE this machine. We have had ours for about 3 years and works wonderful. Comparing this machine to the Keurig branded, it feels so much more sturdy and solid. I love that we can change the brew amount on the spot, get hot water quickly, and quick-rinse when needed. We have had a few issues with descaling. Our water is not very soft and we sometimes forget to change the little water filter in the unit. We follow the directions in the manual when descaling using vinegar, and the problem is taken care of. For better results, I've started buying a solution specifically for descaling and another for cleaning the coffee buildup --have had no problems since using it on a regular basis. There have also been a few times when the machine won't brew, and upon googling this problem, we discovered it was an air bubble and we need to power down, lift the water tank off, reset it onto the unit, power back on -- then back to brewing. Also, if you like to use the "My K-Cup," if it gets overfilled with grounds, sometimes grounds will cause a blockage. We called customer service and they walked us through unblocking -- not difficult, just need a paper clip. (This same thing happened to mother's Keurig personal brewer too, so it's a universal issue with My K-Cup accessory.) Regardless of these little issues, we have enjoyed 3 years of delicious coffee. We feel the issues we have dealt with are just part of the learning curve to using and maintaining the machine.

We have now owned the SS-700 for year and a half. No problems with it at all. I bought this for the warranty because I heard that the keurig's would quit working. Before this machine we would fight over who got the first cup, because the first cup is the best. Now I get the first cup every time.

I received this as a gift and loved it, after about 2 years it stopped working but I called cuisinart and was pleasantly surprised that they replaced it. Have had that machine for about 3 yrs now and it is going strong. Love the way it looks too!

OK -- I HAVE TRIED AND TRIED OTHER SINGLE SERVE COFFEE MAKERS -- ALL WERE KEURIGS: THE PERSONAL SIZE, THE K40, K65 & THE K79 PLATINUM SERIES......AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I GOT A MORE THAN FAR MARKET PRICE AND A GREAT PACK UP ON EACH ONE......ALSO, THEY EACH INDIVIDUALLY MADE A GREAT CUP OF COFFEE......BUT YOU KNOW HOW YOU HAVE SOMETHING THAT YOU ARE 'SATISFIED' WITH BUT YOU ARE NOT 'TOTALLY SATISFIED' WITH? THAT WAS HOW I FELT ON THESE PREVIOUS MODELS......I FINALLY REALIZED THAT FOR ME, PERSONALLY, I SIMPLY JUST DIDNT LIKE THE LOOK OF THE KEURIG BREWER......I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE CLEAN, CRISP LINES OF THIS BREWER.....I LOVE THAT IT HAS A LOT OF STAINLESS ON IT AND THE LARGER RESERVOIR -- I LIKE THAT THE SCREEN IS FLAT, NOT ANGLED, AND I ALSO LIKE THE BUTTON PAD.....GOING FROM CUP SIZE TO CUP SIZE IS A SNAP -- YOU SIMPLY SCROLL THRU TO THE SIZE YOU WANT AND IT DEFAULTS BACK TO THE SIZE YOU HAVE PRESET - NO MORE HAVING TO LOOK THRU A MENU THEN SELECT......ALSO THERE IS A HIDDEN DOOR ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE THAT YOU PRESS AND YOUR MY KCUP IS HOUSED THERE -- SO YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHERE IT IS AT......I HAD TO GO THRU SEVERAL TO GET ONE THAT TOTALLY SATISFIED ME AND ALSO MAKES A TERRIFIC CUP OF COFFEE...IT IS INCREDIBLY QUIET, MAKES A HOT CUP OF BEVERAGE AND I FIND IT CLASSY LOOKING! 'NUFF SAID! HIGHLY RECOMMEND - HAVE HAD FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW AND NOT A SINGLE COMPLAINT! IM VERY VERY HAPPY THAT I AM AT THE END OF MY SEARCH AND MY EFFORTS PAID OFF! LOVE CUISINART PRODUCTS!

I bought this about 2 years ago and so far it's been okay. I love the feature of not having to use K cups if you have a speciality coffee you like.
I've had several problems with it not working, it sounds likes it running but then nothing comes out. I love the look, easy to clean just unsure if its worth it to spend the extra money.
Going on 2 years and I think were do for an upgrade. Sadly I feel like it should last longer.

The Cuisinart SS-700 does appear to be better made than the Keurig and it is very nice looking on the counter. I love the size of the water reservoir and there are lots of nice features. However, my husband and I have bought 2 in the last year (not from QVC). We initially just thought the first was a dud, but neither brewed more than 1 or 2 cups of coffee each. I believe it may be a problem with the pump...it sounds like it's going to work, but nothing happens. Cuisinart did not want to help on the first so we didn't even bother on the second. Prior to the 2 Cuisinarts we owned 2 Keurig Platinum B-70s (6 and 4 years ago). The same thing happened, but it took approximately 2 years for each before they quit brewing. I have tried descaling and resetting each of them, but nothing has worked. It is difficult to understand why each machine eventually had the same problem. After doing a little research I found that this is, unfortunately a common problem with both brands. As much as my husband and I love K-cups, I cannot see putting anymore money into another one. I believe it's time to go back to our Black and Decker Spacesaver coffee maker (13 years old) and Tassimo (7 years old). There is nothing special about the Black and Decker and the Tassimo is very squatty-looking in comparison with the Cuisinart and Keurig, but they have not failed us.
