Cuisinart 14-Cup Food Processor - Die Cast
Wrong Discs//Bowls Stuck Together//No DVD
I did not get the proper slicing and shredding discs, and I did not get the instructional DVD, and my bowls were very difficult to get apart. At first, I stored them separately but you have to use them together when you use the small and medium bowls and it's as if they just get stuck together, and it takes so much time to get them apart just to put them in the dishwasher. With the discs as they were, it was difficult to get them on and off without nicking my fingers. For over $330.00 it was just too frustrating.
Shamelessly aggressive and brazen; great combo!
The first shout-out goes to the designer of the box and inserts; which was my first introduction to my new Cuisinart (K129207 Elite 14-Cup Food Processor - Die Cast). Here I found the tightly packed product awaiting escape; which I easily removed, and set on the counter. The motor base is a bit heavy—and understandably so—but not enough to impair my ability to move it from place to place. The blades are cleverly tucked away in a handsome, albeit plastic, case and I’ve found this to be of great value. The case now resides in a small empty space in a nearby cabinet.
While I carefully read the enclosed product sheets and care instructions, the Elite is actually self-explanatory; one would have to be living in a cave for the last 35 years to not easily understand its functions. The recipe book offers a small collection of varying recipes, which touch upon the uses of each blade and bowl. To date I have used several of the suggested recipes and found each clearly written, easy to follow, and rather tasty. Additionally, I have sliced and chopped a plethora of vegetables for a few of my own recipes and joyously laughed as I quickly chopped through a pile of vegetables for my family-famous Jambalaya.
This shamelessly aggressive food processor immediately leapt to first love in my kitchen, cleverly out witting and brazenly eclipsing my longstanding kitchen favorites. My recommendation to you is to make this the next addition to your kitchen without delay!
Big, strong, and handsome!
The box it came in was huge and heavy. Was not expecting it to be so large. Not a bad thing, just unexpected. I have always wanted a food processor. I am glad I waited so long. It works just like I hoped it would. Very pleased. Love that it has 3 bowls. I also appreciate the acc. case. The quality of the actual processor itself is very prosessional and quite exceptional. Again, very pleased.
WOW! WOW! WOW!
Not enough words. I love it. I have used all 3 bowls and they are perfect. Didn't get to unpack it until day 2 but have used it almost daily since. I love to cook and have looked at these for a couple of years. . I made the right choice. It is very sturdy and beautiful on the counter. I have used it for various things from doughs to hot puree's to nuts and veggies!!! The box for the is a great bonus.
I love this machine!!!
"ditto" to all the reviews. I love this machine...it is so pro!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MACHINE!
Did I mention I LOVE this machine? The power, the accesories AND the storage bin for the accessories, the THREE bowls! There is nothing I don't like about it! I'm one of those that never used my old Cuisinart, except for during the Holidays. Mainly, I make a cranberry salad that's an OLD family recipe. The cranberries have to be chopped small, and a blender just doesn't do the trick. I'd have to run through 4-5 loads to do one small bag. Two hits on the pulse button of a processor and it's done....the entire batch! So to check this one out, I decided to slice my cucumbers for salads. Vavoom! They were done! Then my tomatoes, then my onions. LOVE the adjustable disk!
To be candid, these darned things last for soooooo long! I had to sell my old Cuisinart to justify the purchase of this new model! It just wouldn't croak! I know it's an investment, but it is one you will not regret. GO FOR IT!
This machine rocks! With 1000watts of power it has no problem doing any job. It cleans in a snap and all fits back into itself and the storage case. I really love the 3 bowls. It makes it a breeze to use each bowl for a something different. I tried the other famous brand but it just didnt have the power to do the hard jobs. Its worth every penny I paid for it.
Until purchasing this processor, I had only used a Cuisinart Mini that was an attachment to my stand mixer. That worked great, but I needed larger capacity, and boy does this little gem fill the bill.
I love the three nesting bowls. My kitchen is a huge 8' x 8', and storage space is at a premium. This processor sits right on my counter, next to my mixer, and I even had room for the wonderful storage box for the blades on the counter too. Since this has a substantial weight, I'm very happy to keep it out on the counter, and because it's there, it's getting used frequently. Cleanup is easy too, since all the removable parts are top rack, dishwasher safe.
The motor is powerful, and with a 20 year warrantee on the motor, it might very well outlive me. At 1,000 watts, you'd think it would be noisy, but it's actually quieter than the mini.
If you're sitting on the fence on this one, jump off and go order it. I'm sure you'll love it as much as I love mine. There may be cheaper processors out there, but I feel this is an investment that will last me for many years to come. Thank you QVC, and thank you Cuisinart!!
