WELL WORTH THE PRICE! This is one of my favorite cooking pieces in my kitchen. Truly produces incredible stews and pot roasts. Anything you cook in it will be perfect! The lid is wonderful in delivering the steam back into the pot, and it cleans up wonderfully! I have used it on my electric Jenn Aire cooktop with no problems whatsoever. The directions DO say to slowly bring the heat up on the stovetop. If you do so, you will have no issues. I plan to buy ONLY Emile Henry pieces in the future. I own their pie plates, and they are fantastic! 01-18-11
