Cuisinart Automatic Burr Mill
This coffee mill is FANTASTIC. It grinds the exact amount of beans to make perfect coffee every morning.
Since we have bought this it has been in daily use. It blends in well with the other kitchen appliances which are stainless steel. It works great, grinds consistant and is actually quieter then the last grinder I bought. We love this and it's easy to grind coffee every morning. Would not be without it!!!!
I oredered this as a replacement for an older far less efficient mill. I know the brand and felt safe. I was pleasantly surprised. Best buy I could have made for a mill. Easy to use, quick, easy clean up and looks nice on the counter. Family members will get this from Santa.
The Best There Is
I've had several grinders and have used the ones in the stores. Research claims burr grinders are the best for coffee.
I love the wide opening, the easy remove lid, the large capacity, the ground coffee holder. The holder is big enough that it makes it easy to scoop out your coffee.
The wide range of grind options is amazing. I use mine a lot and it is as good now as when it was new. It looks very nice also. I keep it on my counter next to my keruig maker.
Like it alot but....
it's a little loud. Louder than my last grinder and maybe that's why it seems loud?
Other wise, I love it so far. Does the job and doesn't take up alot of space.
I have tried several different coffee grinders and replaced them all with this one (and cleaned the cabinet)haha....love it!
Exactly as described.
Great coffee grinder. Works and looks exactly as described. Fresh ground coffee - smells great - and tastes even better!!
Excellent Burr Mill
I've had this Burr Mill for about 1 month now and have used it twice. It's a perfect grind for drip coffee makers on the medium setting. My husband tried a little finer grind and it works well too, adjusting the amount for each pot. It's easy to clean, and stores well in my cabinet without adjusting any shelves. My husband and I offered a cup of fresh ground decaf to a caffeine drinker, and he didn't even know the difference because it was fresh ground! I researched coffee grinders before purchasing this one. The quality and price range were my deciding factors, on top of the QVC guarantee. We just love this mill.
I use this grinder for all the types of coffees I drink -- from espresso, to auto drip to french press. All of the settings (from very fine to very coarse) work as they should. I love how it's so easy to change between settings -- just turn the dial. I like being able to purchase the whole beans and grinding, as needed, for a much fresher drink. I highly recommend this grinder.
Love the fresh aroma!
Maybe it is 16 months that I have had my grinder. I used to use it on coarse for French Press but now use on one of the medium settings for drip. I even have changed the medium setting to finer when I first tried the drip machine. I have also changed the number of cups to grind per machine. It is nice not to have to be measuring every morning! I love how it smells so fresh.
The hopper on top stores most of my 12 oz. bag when I open it. I read up on grinders so looked for a burr rather than a blade machine. I think the size and convenience are nice. I am very happy with mine.
Would recommend if it suits your needs
I returned only because I own the Sunbeam kitchen assistant, which has like six or so 6-ounce containers and two 8-ounce (I think that is it) and it grinds coffee for a drip fine. This did not grind as fine as the Turkish grind you get in a store & the finest grind was not as fine as the espresso I get in a store. So for me, I'll buy my espresso ground. I usually have 2 or more different coffees and this just was more inconvenient than the Sunbeam as far as grinding up a bit of all types and having them just stored in their grinding containers. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice grinder & I would definitely recommend it if you want to grind 1/2 pound at a time easily or just have your beans ready to grind when you need it. It has many settings, including different cup settings.
I am a pretty picky when it comes to the grind of my coffee, and the grinder must be able to grind very fine. It does do that, however, I think the speed of the blades shaves something off the bean and white specs are in the grind. It doesn't affect the taste of the bean at all, and I buy very good arabic beans, just strange to me.
I would recommend this, and it is extremely fast and effecient. If you don't mind specs in your grind, go for it. I am glad I bought it despite the speckles...
