EternaGold Earqualizer Supportive Earring Backs 14K Gold
Excellent supportive earring backs
This is my second purchase of a pair of supportive earring backs, they are excellent 14K backings! I've decided to have an extra pair so I can just leave them attached to my earrings when I'm not wearing them instead of removing them from another pair.
DOESN'T FIT ALL POSTS, PART OF HANDLE SHOWS
Like some other reviewers, I was disappointed in these backs mainly bkz not all posts will fit into these or are too small & one risks losing an earring &/or this expensive back. Basically they are not versatile enough considering the price although it's a good concept.
MAY BE GOLD BUT THESE ARE TRUE GEMS!!!
Finally, something to keep those large pearls from heading SOUTH and looking at the floor!! THANK YOU, TED, FOR BRINGING US A SOLUTION TO AN UGLY PROBLEM!!!
Several years ago, I stopped buying earrings that did not have an omega back. I thought I had found a solution for my regular post 14K earrings. NOT SO!! The opening in the backs is extremely small and difficult to get on--if not impossible. Then, I assumed the gold u shape piece would have a hinge like an omega back but NOT SO! It is merely a handle to aid you in getting the miniscule back on. Don't waste your time or money for these expensive "things". I received them one day and could not wait to return them the next. An expensive way to look. Perhaps they should have been demonstrated better.
Answer to drooping earrings!
Just received these and can now wear an expensive set of tahitian pearl earrings that I rarely wore due to drooping. These actually fit the posts of two pairs I tried and the earrings sit perfectly. Nice to have the backs in gold for good jewelry. Give them a try. Note-set of two means two earring backs, not two sets.
Works wonders on my ears!
I was fortunate enough to buy these years ago before the price of gold went up and my only regret is that I didn't buy two.
These work exceptionally well on smaller ear lobes like mine, They are more comfortable to wear than plastic disks or plastic disks on actual post. I don't wear them with small studs but I do not wear small earrings very often.
If you have sensitive skin, to nickle or plastic and your earlobes are on the smaller side, these posts may be exactly what you are looking for!
I am so happy with my purchase
This earqualizer supportive earing back is a very good idea.
For years I could not wear post earings because they
drooped as I have very thin ear. Since I purchased these
supportive earing backs, I can now wear any post back
earings they sit upright on my ear. I have a diamond
post back earing that i proudly wear every day now.
Just be patient when putting them on, at first they seem
thight with a little force it worked for me.
Already lost one
I had a nice set of 14K post that I just loved and thought these backs would be just the ticket to use with my earrings...should of listened to other reviews who warned against them...I was always having to flip the support bracket around on the back of my ear, as it would twist around and end up showing at the bottom of my ear lobe...sad to yes...yep, I lost one...upsets me because I really like the stone earrings and now I am out the earring "AND the earring back...huge bummer!!! I'm out the earrings and these backs!!
I don't write reviews good or bad but credit is due here. I have 11mm Tahitian pearls that are heavy and fell forward no matter what I did. This purchase was my last resort. I will never stop wearing the pearls but I would like them to sit up straight so that you do not see the gold posts. These work perfectly and I had no trouble with the post size. The hole may not work for fashion jewelry but it certainly works for fine jewelry.
I have been a bit concerned about QVC's quality control lately but these are worth every cent.
I can now wear a pair of earrings my husband purchased for me ten years ago. They are very heavy and drooped on my ears..this was the ideal cure for that problem. I can't believe the difference.
HOLES TOO SMALL FOR EARRINGS
I was really looking forward to getting these, but perhaps my pair was defective. Only one pair of earrings I owned fit into the hole. If they cost $10 maybe I would keep them, but as it is now, they're going back.
One of these earqualizers recently came loose and fell off my earring post which resulted in my earring falling out of my ear. When I called Eternagold to secure a replacement under what I believed to be a lifetime warranty, I was told that my loss would not be covered even though it was due to a defect in the product. As a longtime QVC and Eternagold customer, I was shocked, disheartened, and extremely disappointed. The reason I have invested in Eternagold products is because I thought the company would stand behind their product if an incident occurred. I'm sure happy this was not one of the Eternagold pieces that cost me several hundreds of dollars.
