Although pearls have always been popular, colorful mother-of-pearl has also been very desirable for jewelry and other objects. Like pearls, it exhibits beautiful luster and orient, iridescent rainbow colors enhancing the white, pink, or gray mother-of-pearl. The type of mollusk and the environment it lives in determines the color and form of the shell.

Always in bloom. No matter the season, this enhancer is sweet, lovely, and blossoming with style. Inspired by a collection from the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the enhancer starts with an oval, white mother-of-pearl cabochon with a 14K rose gold-plated overlay with fancy carved pink mother-of-pearl flowers, pink rubellite gemstones, and round white sapphire gemstones. Fabulously feminine.

Very eye catching and beautiful Very unique, receive many compliments. A favorite piece. 07-10-12

Pretty in Pink! The positive's are: nice size overall (not too big, not too small); beautiful white mother of pearl and beautiful carved pink mother of pearl; lovely rose-gold overlay design. The negative's are: the chain that came with the enhancer is too skimpy and too short; the bail is small (it won't fit over a really wide chain or a pearl necklace); the rubellite stones are tiny and they don't have a lot of sparkle. Weighing everything, I'm still absolutely capivated by this enhancer. It has a tasteful, subtle charm. Although I think the price is high, I think it's a fair price for what you get. As the other reviewer said "It's a keeper." 05-02-12

I Love It I fell in love with this when I first saw it on QVC. Having recently relocated to the DC Metro area, I fell in love with cherry blossoms this year. This necklace has a special place in my heart. It is very solid and well made. The chain is rather thin, but I didn't buy it for the chain. I am getting many compliments. I am really thinking about buying the matching ring. This is a keeper! 04-24-12
