Nice Pendant-- But--
The pendant is very nice, and I like it a lot. The clearance price is nice too. However, this piece is silvertone and not sterling- that bothers me. It would be perfect if it were sterling- I'm afraid that the color will tarnish with time, being a pendant -though- I'm not really too worried about that- if it were a ring forget it!!, I won't even buy vermeil or clad in rings. So I may keep it not sure- it is nice though- I recommend it- if you don't mind silvertone.

Too Much, Looks Very Fake
When I ordered this, I thought it would have more of a crystal look, but that very large center stone is serious bling and just doesn't look real. A real stone like that comes with an armed guard.
It may work for formal occasions, but I'm not crazy about it and plan to return it.

nice Mothers Day gift
I recieved this piece for Mothers Day from my youngest daughter. I really love the piece. It is for dressier occasions, the bigger stone is fairly large but not too large to be too much.

Lovely
I just received this, and I have to say it is very striking to look at. It is very well made with hardly any faults at all, However it is just a tad too over the top for me, I can see someone like Angela Jolie or Gweneth Paltro in it as it would be easy to think it was real on those girls. But not for me unfortunately. I gave it 5 stars because it is worth it. I am sorry to have to send it back.

Great eye candy!
You'll definitely want to wear this to a special occasion. It is lovely enough to enhance the beauty and presence of the person wearing it. The Smithsonian jewelry is always so beautiful and of high quality ordinarily unattainable by the average person. Put it on and wear it around the house to lift your spirits on a dreary day!

I was looking for a vintage piece for a special and formal occasion. I was very pleased with this necklace. It's not everyday wear, but perfect for that signature piece you might need on just special occasions. I paired it with a dangle earrings from Steel by Design (J157814). Much better than the cheap sparkly stuff you might find in the mall.

STUNNING
Yes this necklace is beautiful, but with the matching earrings the set is STUNNING!!!!! I agree with the other review you will feel like a queen. Too bad the smithsonian does not package their jewelry better. That's why I only gave this item a four star rating. So beautiful shoved in a cardboard box, why?

What A Necklace:)
So glad I got this it is so pretty in person. It looks as good as the earrings do. It shines and sparkles like the real thing. I might not be a queen but I sure feel like one in this necklace. Keep up the good work. Get it you won't be sorry.
