I bought this for a very dear friend and gave it to her and she loved it at first but, she found she could not add any charms to it due to the large clasp. Then we took it to a jewelry store and it turns out they were able to lift it up with a metal detector they use in buying gold from people selling theirs. So when I asked what would it be worth if she wanted to sell and they said she could only get $60.00 for it! I know I paid $199.00 plus shipping. I was very embaressed and my sick friend said it was the thought that counts. Well to me if someone on your show says its ALL 14K from Italy I will not be buying any more from QVC.

great necklace
I have this in yellow gold just ordered in white, love it but....... the white gold, as i knew before, I ordered has the clasp backwards. You cant get s pendent on it over the lobster claw or the heart /ball...... I took to local jeweler 20$ to fix it so the clearance price is worth it.

Not a good design
I own this chain in yellow gold and love it! I ordered the white gold and noticed the hook was different and unable to put my pendants over the clasp. I sent it back thinking it had just been assembled wrong but when I got the second one it is the same. Will have to go back since I can't get pendants over the clasp. I hope Eterna gold corrects the problem because I really want one in white gold.

Perfect Chain
I have the rose gold and white gold and love them both. Only problem is lobster claw clasp is too small, so I have to let it out to the end and put it on over my head, which is fine to me. I just hope the ball slide does not wear down the chain and the adjustability no longer holds in place.

Disappointed
As other raters indicated, there are two problems with this chain: First, the lobster claw clasp is on one end and the adjustment ball and heart on the other, so you have to have a pendant with a large bail to be able to use this chain. That looks strange on this rather fine rope chain. The second issue is that it twists around so the clasp is in the front. I can't seem to stop that unless I adjust it to a very short length. I did keep it though, because it's the only rose gold chain I have, I can wear it as a Y necklace, and the color and sparkle are nice. I will be very leery of buying an adjustable necklace again.

GORGEOUS! Perfect for every outfit and style!!
I fell in love with this necklace the second I pulled it out if its beautiful bag. It's not only pretty, it's extremely practical (...and when have you ever heard jewelry described like THAT?). As a person who dresses up in various types of outfits, this was exactly the type of gold chain I was looking for! With adjustments from as tight as you like it up to 24", what more could a girl want? This necklace sparkles more than any of the gold chains I've found in high-end department and jewelry stores, and is sturdy enough to take on my larger pendants while not being overly dramatic for those that are smaller.
I admit that I was a bit hesitant when I first saw some of the reviews, but am glad that I went ahead and gave this a try. The bead slides smoothly on the chain to adjust, but is not loose and nicely holds it's place; I would strongly suggest that anyone who has had difficulty to get another one. It's surely worth it. I also don't understand why some people thought this wasn't sturdy enough--I want a chain to be well constructed, and work well with an array of pendants (or alone), but I don't actually want a "rope" around my neck! I don't know how much heavier you want a necklance at this price point. If you're looking for something heavier than 2.7g, you will want to keep looking.
I find this necklace to be beautiful, practical, sparkly, and the heart just a sweet bonus! Give this a try--I highly recommend it. This was my first EternaGold perchase, but it won't be my last! :) Thanks!

Very Disappointed
The slide does not work on the chain and where is the shimmer and shine that EternaGold is noted for? Also there was no information about the guarantee from Eterna included. Is this a QVC problem or is it Eterna?

Bad Quality
This was my second attempt. First got lost in shipping. Mine white gold no shimmer. Clasp is unusable for small pendent as it needs to go over the Lobster Claw Clasp not the ring as normal. I Have purchased several adjustable necklaces in the past Eterna and other manuf none made like this. No Warranty card was included in my purchase.

Not disigned for small to medium-sized pendants
I just received this chain in white gold on Saturday (fast shipping)!! The chain itself is nice; it is a hollow rope, but with gold prices being the way they are, I expected that. The chain sparkles and is strong enough to hold a medium to heavy-weight pendant. The problem is that with the dangle heart and ball mechanism, only a pendant with a very large bail could fit over them. If you have an enhancer that you can clip on a chain, that would work as well. The pendant I had in mind for this chain will not fit so I will have to wear it on an adjustable box I purchased from another network. I will keep this to wear on its own.

Great Concept but
This is a lovely necklace and a great idea. I have had no problem with the bead mechanism, however, I can't keep the tail with the heart from twisting around. I'm thinking of taking it to a jeweler and seeing if I can have it weighted somehow so the tail will hang down. It's really of no use now unless I let it out and wear if full length. The lobster claw clasp is also very, very tiny and hard to deal with.
