This beautiful necklace is a "treasure from the vault" at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. The platinum necklace is set with 193 round brilliant-cut diamonds having a total weight of approximately 15 carats. It has a beautiful interwoven design – an open oval link design where half of the oval link is a floral motif of flowers and leaves, and the other half of the oval link has diamonds bead-set and bezel-set in the semi circle. The exquisite delicacy of the floral link design is very light, open, and feminine.

Beautiful, but Uncomfortable to wear I loved this design, but after looking at the original, I see why this is uncomfortable too wear. The links in this necklace is to stiff. The links in the orginal come to the same place bendable link like an elogated oval. THis one the downward swing comes to a different place in the design. This makes the necklace uncomfortable. I really wanted a copy of this unusal necklace. Remake the necklace with the flowers a different color than diamonds. Would be enough different that the museum wouldn't think you stole it! 06-22-12
