Much better in person
I bought the black version of these earrings, and the sparkle is there, but they're not too big or too bold or flashy, which means I can wear them either day or night. However, there's no way to see what they really look like online. The stones are a combination of black, silvery taupe, and grey, and then the metal is a true, dark, gunmetal. The earrings feel substantial, too, and not light or thin/badly-made. An all-over great design, I'm really happy with them. In fact, I just bought a new tunic from Lori Goldstein, which has a black/taupe/white combo in the pattern, and I think those earrings will be perfect with that.

Beautiful Color
This pair of earrings is my favorite purchase so far. I love the colors, size and how they hang on my ears. Have received compliments each and every time I have worn them.
It is really nice when your item is even better then the photos.

Unique hoops!
I really like these sparkly hoops. Joan has solved a problem for us brunette ladies who would like to wear black earrings. The black earrings don't show up against our dark hair, so: Voila! Joan adds sparkle to them, and now they show up. I purchased the black and wear them quite a bit, with the dark winter colors. I will now be going back for the neutrals. Thanks again Joan for solving our fashion dilemmas!

Very Bright Colors!!!
I purchased these earrings and I love them. The black is great with several bright colors which pick up about anything you wear. You might want to put some clear nail polish on them - as I wore them first and lost a green stone.

Pretty & Sparkly!
I've had these earrings for a couple of weeks & I really like them! They can be dressed up or down ~ cute w/ a dress or jeans! I purchased the "Brights" & the colors are nice & bright and they really are very sparkly. The only thing I don't love about these is that they are a tiny bit heavy for me. It bothers me a bit at first but I usually forget about it after a while. Still love the way they look.

not all that
Received my earrings (in the bright colors), and they are beautiful (hence the 3 stars). Then I tried to put them in, and I couldn't remove the clutch because it's too close to the open side of the earring. I "opened" the hoop alittle to get the clutch off, so I could try them on, but then putting the clutch on the post while they were in my ears, wasn't that easy. I have lots of Joan's jewelry, but these just aren't up to her usual standards. Maybe I got a bad pair, but considering they are rather pricey, I must, unfortunately, send them back.

Not What I Expected
I thought these earrings would be all black, as in jet or black crystals (since the color is called black), and that the reason I saw sparkle in the photo is because of light reflecting off the black crystals. Not so, there are light colored crystals on the black. I intended this as an elegant gift, but instead I'm sending it back. Maybe the rest of you figured it out from the photo, but I went by the color name. 3 stars for QVC, tho.

Great earrings!!!!
The Joan Rivers earrings, J264111, brights, go beautifully with J159799 necklace/pin. I wore both today with a black dress. The ensemble was gorgeous! I want more colors of these earrings.

Just received these today and put them on instantly! JUST RIGHT!! Not too big and not too heavy. The brights are just that, beautifully BRIGHT! Great Job Joan!
