A Note from the Designer

"I call these pieces my Weblet Collection, as they're inspired by a famous necklace of mine called the Web of Life, a grand-prize winner from the Platinum Guild Contest in 2000. This prize-winning necklace features a spider web-like design with cellular shapes in platinum that were joined into a network by wires. In the center of each cell, one side features a diamond and the other side a pearl. This concept has been reworked for QVC using faceted smoky quartz that's prong-set within the center of each organically shaped cell."

A Wrok of Art!! I love this necklace. I also own the ring. It is a very well-made pendent and I love the different use of metal (silver and brass). It is just a very lovely piece and different and unique. A one of a kind work of art that RLM created. I love this necklace and I'm so glad to have this in my sterling collection. Amazingly Unique & Pretty - But Impractical Length First, let me say that RLM is my favorite jewelry designer. I own more of his jewelry than any other designer. And this is necklace is SO pretty--and unique! But I'm finding it a bit impractical to wear. I didn't know, until I received it, that the pendant is attached to the chain. That makes it hard to wear with most tops because the length is unchangeable. It hangs too low for a v-neck or a scoop neck--the last couple of "cells" in the pendant either hang inside the top or oddly outside of it. So the only tops that I can wear this with is a crew neck or a turtleneck, which limits my wearing it in the spring and summer. I haven't decided if I'll return it due to the limited wearability or if I'll keep it because it's so very pretty and unique. 02-03-12
