The 6 Cs of Diamonique Jewelry
Cut: Cut to maximum brilliance. Common cuts include round, princess (square), marquise, and pear.
Color: Rated an E on the color scale—a perfect blue-white stone.
Clarity: Flawless. Manufactured from the finest rough. No inclusions.
Carat: The carat size of a Diamonique simulated gemstone is measured exactly the same as natural diamonds. Thus, a one-carat Diamonique simulated gemstone is equal in size to a one-carat diamond.
Cost: The look and appeal of real diamonds at a fraction of the cost.
Confidence: Set in gold, Platinum Clad® sterling silver, sterling silver, or stainless steel—only you will know you're wearing Diamonique jewelry.
Rounded corners and an open bottom (culet) are the defining characteristics of the cushion cut. One of the most popular cuts, the cushion was the premier choice for all fine diamonds — from 1830 to the turn of the 20th century. When the famous gem cutter Tolkowsky introduced the round cut, the cushion adopted some of its angles and gained significant fire.
Often referred to as the pillow cut, the cushion is square or rectangular in shape. It's less brilliant than the round cut but more dispersive in color. The Cullinan II, a famous cushion cut, weighs over 317 carats and belongs to the British Crown Jewels collection.
