POOR SNAIL CARVING
Let's begin by saying this ring looked like a toy on the finger, not a snail toy but something
out of a bubble gum machine or cracker jack box.
And my ring looked no more like a snail than the man in the moon and I wouldn't wear him
either.
This ring had nothing worthy about it, nothing. The pearl had no luster and the design was
not distinquishable and the tail looked like something from Mars.
Barbara you can do better.
And it was not true to size, too tight for a small hand.

Not At A Snail's Pace!
This ring has raced into my heart quickly! Some of the reviews made me hesitant, but when I chose to purchase it on easy pay I couldn't wait. When I opened up the package and placed him on my finger I was ecstatic. It is so unique and isn't childish in any way. He stands out and the detail is beyond fabulous. Buy him before he leaves!

no one does critters like Barbara! it's amazing how she can make any critter look beautiful,whimsical,and adorable all at the same time! i'm drawn to her gorgeous glowing mother of pearl pieces and blue topaz and amythest are some of my fav stones. this ring was a must have for my collection it's absolutely the most adorable whimsical ring i own and ever saw.the workmanship on this ring is outstanding ,it's a ring that will make you happy and make you smile .i bought it when it first came out and love looove it!

Not For Me
I'm a huge Bixby fan and have purchased several pieces from her collections. I debated ordering this for some time, & finally gave in to my inner voice. My inner voice was wrong. The ring came and as usual, I was so excited I tore into the box. I'm sorry to say this particular Bixby ring just isn't for me. I work in the fashion industry, and enjoy styling and accessorizing the models, so I've seen some pretty outrageous pieces & I know how to make certain looks work. Not this one! Not to mention, I love big, slightly gaudy rings, but this one is a little much, and 'costumey' looking. The mother of pearl didn't glow for me at all, nor did it look genuine. The purple flower just clashed with the whole thing, instead of setting it off. It's not something I would recommend to a client. Sure, it's unique, but for the price? I just didn't feel I got what I paid for, thus, it's going back. I'm still a Bixby fan, however, and always will be. I would only consider buying this ring if a) the price was much, much lower, and, b) if I was shopping for someone who loved or collected snails, and, c) was about the tender age of 13. Would definitely pass for tweenie gear, or for someone with a snail fetish....

ITS A KEEPER!
I received my ring finally, (I had been counting down the days) and I have worn it all day. I am taken back by all the intense detailed work that went in to bringing this ring from the paper to the fingers! I dont remember ever seeing a "snail" ring before. I think this is just fun. The only thing I would have done differently is maybe placed some little gold dots on the back of his neck, where the "carved out" area runs up and down the neck, or maybe just made it solid. I love the expression he has on his face. He is so cute and friendly looking. In the hectic times of our lives now, it is refreshing to own such a friendly piece of iconic jewelry. I love what he stands for, and just maybe he will make me slow down. If that happens... it is definately worth every penny paid, plus some!

Stunning!
I LOVE this ring. The detail is outstanding and It really does seem to glow from within as another buyer stated. Words just fail me, I can't even begin to describe all the little touches that make this ring so special. I have many other Bixby rings and love them all, but this one for the price is just outstanding!

Beautiful
If you like whimsy...this is it. Can't wait to show it off to my friends. A wonderful ring to pass down to a grand daughter (Plan on wearing this ring for a very long time)

SNAIL-ICIOUS!!!
I LOVE THIS RING!! Unlike the other reviews my MOP has a slight brown cast to it...but...I've never seen a snail without brown in it and it still glows as if lit from within. It is truly a one of a kind peice. I would love to see an enhancer to match this, please. Thank you BB!

Not just a critter
This is the most incrediable piece of work that I have ordered from Bixby in awhile. First of all the MOP glows and even though this piece sits over 1/2" high the color is pure white. It does sit high but for those of you that are worried about the head and neck catching be assured that is is well built it should never happen. There is a hefty weight to this piece and the neck has gold beading and a leaf is gold. It is such a fun piece but also beautifully done. I have been wearing it on my right hand with the snail facing toward the viewer. So cute and yet a serious MOP piece by Bixby.

I love Smedley! As always, the detail in this ring is amazing. And how many "Snail" rings are out there? I would think not many. Such a cute idea for a critter ring! I especially love his little antlers. The mother-of-pearl shell is beautifully carved. And the sizing is perfect. The Size 7 fits my Size 7 finger. I'd wear him every day except for the fact that I love all of my Barbara rings so I have to alternate. He's so cute!

Adorable
This is adorably cute, but at the same time, it is intricate and detailed. Typical BB. I look down at the ring on my finger, and it is a reminder to me to slow down and to not overlook the little things.

Unique and beautiful!
This is a pricey piece but I could not resist. I love Barbara's critters. This ring is really intricate and has a lot of detail. But it is not delicate and can easily be worn every day without worry. I really love it.
