The Inside Story

In August 1963, John and Jackie lost their child, Patrick. By all accounts, the experience drew the couple closer, and they spent more time with one another and their children. It was during this time that John wanted to give Jackie a special gift for the upcoming Christmas holidays. In October, during a visit to New York, he stopped in Van Cleef & Arpels (where he had bought Jackie's engagement ring) and ordered a large kunzite and diamond ring. He knew Jackie loved pink, and this would be her first pink-stone ring. This was to be their 10th Christmas together, and he had 20 diamonds designed into the ring to represent the next 10 years of their life together.

Very Lovely I love this ring; wear it all the time. It does slide around on my finger, even tho I ordered my correct size. But I'd rather have that then have it too small and be tight; that looks horrible; squeezing your finger like a sausage. So, it's there, on my wedding ring finger, and I just keep turning it around; it hasn't fallen off yet, and it's so big and heavy there's no way that you don't know it's on your finger. The color and I love pink, is stunningly gorgeous. 05-10-13

This rings is NOTHING LESS THAN STUNNING!! I have not stopped wearing since I rec'd this ring as a gift. I had no idea what I was going to open up to when I opened the package. I was stunned. It is so beautiful and it looks so real. Have lots of gold jewelry, some diamonds and I couldn't tell the difference in the gold or the stones. They just shined like the real thing. AND I HAVEN'T STOPPED WEARING THE RING! This is the first ring that I have not taken off since I got. That's how much I love it. The fact that it has a history to it makes it that more meaningful and I feel lucky to own a part of Jacqueline Kennedy's collection; especially a ring as this. I love this ring!!!!!! I have looked for years for an oval pink stone ring set in yellow gold. This ring is fabulous. I do not wear it everyday but when I do WOW! It is a large ring and I do not have large fingers but it works.Now I want the matching earrings. Go for it girls; you will not be sorry. 03-23-13

Wish there were more Stars to assign to it! I received this ring this week and it is much more beautiful than any of the photos or demos show! It is a large stone, but beautifully proportioned to the mounting, which is actually more open/airy than I thought it would be. QVC has done a miraculous job of re-creating the Kunzite stone because this one has spectacular pink color and 'changeability' characteristics too. The stone does not slip around the finger, it's sizing is true, the clear stones sparkle, as does the simulated Kunzite, and the goldtone finish is realistic looking. It is especially memorable to know that this is a replica of the last piece of jewelry JFK had made for JBK in 1963. 02-01-13

A beauty! Sizable & colorful! Varying pink shades! Love pink & this one says PINK! One of the interesting things about it is the way it 'changes' its tone of pink; in some light it is very soft & muted. In other light it is a bright almost not real pink! And, it shows up everything in between! You'll run into a wall just walking & looking at it! What a treat!!! I love the profile too as it doesn't sit up so high as to puncture a glove or something.
