Love it!!!
This vacuum is powerful, light weight, and quiet. My husband and I have been thinking of upgrading to a Dyson and after yet another $100 vacuum broke down on us we finally made the switch. We have two cats, and a dog. All of the hair comes right out of the carpet and with the attachments it takes the hair off of the couch better then anything I have ever used, as well has hard to reach places. I definitely recommend this product!

terrible choice
I have this, ordered from QVC in Jan. 2011. It has never been totally satisfactory; not nearly as good as my previous Dyson. Now, it has lost suction and today as I used it, the brush totallly locked up. I have spoken with Dyson customer service twice, and although this is still under the 5-year warranty, they are not helpful at all. I am very disappointed in this product and will not buy another Dyson product at all.

WORST purchase ever!
I bought this new dyson animal, because our other dyson animal is 6-years old and just not working that great anymore. This vac is so small, and is not worth the money. It's like a mini-vac. I can go buy a regular size dyson for the same price. I called dyson as soon as I got the vac and returned to QVC the next day. Did not like it at all! Do not buy this prodcut!

Don't Waste You Money
I have had this Dyson Animal Vac for one year. I was so thrilled to get it. The sunction is great, however, I have 3 dogs who shed constantly. I am constantly emptying the bin into the garbage bag I carry with me around the house while I vacuum. The cord is too short, the bin is too small. Dog hair gets wrapped around the brush. I have to cut the dog hair out to make the brush work or the engine over heats. This is so not worth the money. I am going to try the Shark Pro next. So disappointed in all the hype with Dyson. I am writing this as a public service to let you all think twice about purchasing this. I would not do it.

Exceptional Vacuum
First of all, I have four cats, one dog and two very long-haired people in my house. I need to vacuum every day and sometimes twice because of all of the hair and dander. This vacuum is very lightweight, quiet and does an excellent job of removing the hair. Yes the container is smaller than most and the cord is shorter than most other vacuums but neither of these things hinders its performance. I find the shorter cord better because I don't have to keep it out of the way and it's easier to wind up. The smaller bin is no problem, either. Just empty it . The system to empty it great and I don't have dust everywhere. If you have pets or just want a vacuum that is extremely easy to push and carry. If you want to save your hearing, you'll want this vacuum. Its very quiet for a vacuum(meaning you can actually talk over the sound ). This is the one for you.

Best vacuum ever!!!!!
This is the best vacuum ever! I have had mine for a year now and am still very pleased. It works as well today as it did a year ago when it was brand new. I have 2 long haired cats and it removes cat hair from anything and everything. Be careful though, you may suck the cat up in the vacuum if they are too close!!! ;-) Seriously...best vacuum ever! It will pick up anything in it's way...

Good Only For Small Spaces
This vacuum works OK for small spaces. The cord is too short and the hose is so short, it makes the attatchments mostly unusable. It is compact, easy to manuver, and has good suction, but you have to clean the filters about everytime you use it to maintain that suction. I have had better luck with Eurekas that cost 1/8th the price!

Love this vacuum
Seems like the other reviewers either loved or hated this machine. Add me to the list that love it. With two cats, hair was a real problem but this machine has worked wonders. I also love the attachment to remove hair from furnithre.
I've had it a couple of months now, so I think I've given it an adequate trail period. It was more than I usually spend on a vacuum but worth every penny.

Worst purchase ever!
Bought this vac and was very excited that I made this purchase as I have a dog and three cats. Worked great the first two times I used it but on the third time NO SUCTION. Tried for over two hours to find out the problem. Even called Dyson who were of no help. So packed it up and sent it back. The slogan is "never loses suction" was laughable. This vac also felt like cheap plastic. For $449.00 I expected a heck of a lot from Dyson and QVC. I was sooo disappointed.

Dirt From the Basement
I got this vac and I used it every other day for a while to get dog/cat hair out of the house. Let me tell you, it picks up fur the dog and cat haven't grown yet and I think some of the dirt is being pulled up through the floor from the basement. Seriously, it is very good and even gave a new life to an old carpet. I am a skeptic and a cynic but I am pleased with this purchase.

Not for everyone
I had the original dyson 6 hrs ago and loved it! This new ball one is horrible to operate and is not for anyone without arm strength. Also it's much smaller and not easy to empty. I am so disappointed and should have returned it!

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got this Dyson this week and have used it twice. I got it for our 5th wheel camper because I have a Yellow Lab dog that is a walking hair ball. This machine is great. I can't believe how much hair came up the first time i vacuumed. I had to empty the container two times. Second time I used it there was a lot less hair which tells me that my central vacuum wasn't getting up the hair very well. The nap on the carpet was better looking when I was done vacuuming also.
The 6 easy payments was a bonus too.
