NOT A GOOD IDEA
Purchased this set a while back. Finally got my room redone and used them as I had planned. For one night the timers worked. Now they stay on 24/7 and the lights are hardly noticable. Have replaced the batteries and same situation. The workmanship on the designs leaves a lot to be desired as well. They look cheap. Unbelieveable they have been backed by Valerie.
If I was not out of my return period I would definitely return this item. So sorry I fell for it. Should have opened the box and checked it out instead of waiting to finish my room.

Loved the Candles BUT
I sooooo loved these candles, BUT I only had the sea shell on for approx 2 hours and it went out....... I was so disappointed. I should have read the reviews before I purchased.
I changed the battery and it still would not work! I called QVC and a service represent kindly asked if I wanted to replace .... I really did but I didn't want to have the same problem again so I said NO. I hope Valerie has a similar set of candles soon, these were very pretty.

DISAPPOINTED ... NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
Nice idea. Just not worth the money. Received one shell with a broken corner. Another one had a smudged paint job. Just seemed cheap, somewhat plastic-like. Wish they were of better quality. Sending back.

CUTE, BUT DO NOT WORK WELL
THESE ARE CUTE ITEMS, BUT THE SEASHELL NEVER WORKED NO MATTER HOW MANY BATTERIES I TRIED! THE OTHER TWO DO WORK, BUT THE BATTERIES ARE GONE IN TWO OR THREE EVENINGS. DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY FOR THE PRICE----WOULD NOT ORDER THEM AGAIN. TOO EXPENSIVE TO SEND BACK FOR ONE ITEM TO BE REPLACED. NOT THE USUAL VALARIE QUALITY!

I first loved these. Within 3 days, the starfish stayed on 24 hrs. The timer was totally gone. I had to change the batteries for all 3 within the month. I can't justify doing that monthly just because something is very cute. I would pay more for something that worked better.

Very nice
I, like so many others, love shells and thus jumped at the chance to get these when Valerie presented them. I placed them among my towels and washcloths on display in the bathroom and on the shelf hanging on the wall...in places that I would not normally want to have to access everyday. I bought them because they are on timers and I would not have to go around and turn them on every night. I am sorry to say, that I, like others who have written a review, have found that one of the "shells" - the scallop in my case, does not turn off. It did for the first few days and then one day I noticed that in the middle of the afternoon it was on. I thought perhaps it was just mine, and that maybe even a battery change would correct the issue - but I see that others have the same issue - so obviously - there is some "tweeking" to be done. Irregardless, I do like these and will hope to see some others added to the collection later...smaller perhaps - that could be put in an arrangement in a bowl or glass vase. Seahorse, sea urchin, some varieties normally not seen would be nice...

Pretty, but very large!
I purchased these to give some summer touches to my home. They are very pretty, but too large for where I had planned to put them. I had to return them since they didn't fit the space. I would like to see these in a smaller size.

battery life?
first night, fantastic, within three days very dim, are these old batteries? the price would not justify a product that dims so quickly, as real shells would be much cheaper.

Cute but low battery life
These are very cute and look nice with my other beach-type decorations, but after only a few days one of the shells no longer lights up and the other two are much dimmer. I'm glad that extra batteries are included so hopefully they will last longer. If not and they eat batteries this quickly, I don't think I'll replace them and will just keep the shells as decorations. But then this item is a bit pricy compared to quality. The whole point is to have these glow amidst the other decorations.

These are great!
These look good off or on. I like that they are on timers, so they come on the same time everyday. They look so pretty in my beach decor kitchen, even without the light.

She likes shells
Would have given them a 5 star rating, but one of the shells does not turn off. So each night I have to switch it off. I like them too much to return and can deal with this little annoyance.
