Royal Palace® Rugs: About Rug Shedding
Some shedding is normal for a wool rug. Shedding occurs when static electricity attracts loose wool fibers, or when rubber-soled shoes—like sneakers—break off small wool fibers. This won't affect the wear of the rug. After receiving your new rug, we recommend that you vigorously vacuum it vertically, horizontally, and diagonally, with the brush set at a low setting. Repeat this for 23 days; it's okay if you fill more than one vacuum bag or canister's worth. This vigorous vacuuming will not harm the rug and will help minimize shedding. You can then vacuum regularly with the brush at a medium or high setting, alternating with an upholstery attachment. We recommend vacuuming once every two weeks. You'll find wool fibers in the vacuum bag but, again, this won't affect the wear of your rug.

Too much shedding I got these rugs in 3 different sizes in the burgundy. They are beautiful. But the shedding was all over my house. The rugs in my home are white so imagine all the shedding from walking over the royal palace rugs made my carperting look pink. Id vacuum over and over again. At least 4 times a day to remove the shedding with no avail they went back to qvc. On the 30th day I could no longer take it. 04-18-13

Watercolors Silhouette Runner I am very pleased with this rug. I ordered in the ivory and put it in the master bath, a very nice touch to the room. The colors in the rug are vibrant and very well sculpted. It does shed, but with repeated vacuuming that is not a problem after a while. This rug is a real bargain, in comparison shopping I found nothing with this quality and price. 01-23-13

Luv It....But I purchased this for my bathroom but it's too big....trying it in my kitchen...it fits but I really wanted it for the bathroom. I purchased the Sage color and it's really beautiful. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased this runner along with 3 x4'9" rug both in sage. I wanted to freshen up the house with some new colors and the sage just blends in with everything. They are totally beautiful and look fantastic. My only regret is that I should have purchased more for the bedrooms. 03-06-12
