Pump had to be replaced within 3 years
I love the bed we purchased in 2009 but did not expect to have to replace the pump within 3 years for a cost to us between $100 - $200.

Sleep Number Pearl
I can't believe we didn't order a sleepnumber bed sooner. From day one both my wife and I have slept more comfortable than any time we can remember. I would definitely recommend a sleep number to anyone who requires support for side or back pain. It is extremely comfortable and easy to adjust for firmness or softness.

Great Bed
I had slept on a soft side waterbed for years and loved it. When I bought my new home, I bought a king sized bed with a traditional mattress and spent quite a bit of money on the mattress. All it did was give me backaches! When I saw the Pearl offered as a TSV, I took the plunge and bought it. I put it together with the help of friends, and slept so well the first night I thought I died and went to heaven. It was like being back on my softside waterbed again! My body was supported, I didn't feel pressure points, and I woke up without a backache....something I hadn't done in a few years. I am a little disappointed that all my deep pocket sheets are now way to big for the mattress, but that is something minor in comparison to the fantastic sleep I'm getting. It took a little time to find the right number, but now that I have it, I'm hooked! I won't go back to a traditional inner spring mattress again.

Be patient ....worth the wait !
First, I'll review the bed. The first few nights I must admit I was sore and readjusted my settings several times. Meanwhile my wife slept like a rock. But I've noticed whenever I slept on a different mattress I would get up sore --- I think everyones body needs an adjustment period when changing sleep surfaces. I feel many reviewers didn't give it a fair chance because I now sleep wonderfully on a 55 setting. We required no tools and was able to assemble in 60-90 minutes with no major hurdles. (other than -- see below) It is a little thin for fitted sheets and we plan to add an additional mattress topper. As far as cheap feeling, I disagree, I weigh 195 lbs and sit on the EOB with no feeling of insecurity plus the warranty speaks for itself if you do experience a breakdown in the materials they will replace it. Another reviewer compared it to an aerobed ....I disagree. Aerobeds dont last 20 years and having slept on both, this is far, far superior, again give it more of a chance. All in all .... very happy.
Customer service --- different story * 1 star ---------- broke down old bed and got it out of house. Assembled new bed (boxes had been sitting in spare room for 2 weeks ---- so many big boxes I assumed all was there)-------got 1/3 of the way thru assembly and major missing parts. Called sleep number and QVC ------- refused to overnight missing box --- took almost 1 week to receive and had to sleep on couch. Not cool.

Awesome Night's Sleep!
My husband and I have had great night's sleep with this bed. It was delivered early and we set it up Labor Day weekend. (I'm a 65; Husband is a 45). What a wonderful bed!! No problems with sheets fitting, just make sure you get King size that expand up to 15-18 inches. Stiffness and backaches are long gone! Most mornings it just too comfortable to get out off!!

expensive aero bed
I have been watching these beds for a few years. I finally decided to order after listening to the hosts talk about how great these beds are. This bed is nothing more then a fancy aero bed. My sheets which were snug on our old bed hang off this bed since it is so thin. It is not comfortable and have tried every number. So disappointed. Do not waste you money. Now have to figure out how to pack it back up.

Very disappointed
I honestly do not feel the difference in sleeping in this bed or an air mattress. From listening to people rave about this bed, I expected it to be so comfortable. I have tried for a week and for a week straight my hips and neck were so stiff in the morning. I love QVC and am very grateful for the 30 day money back guarantee, but in my opinion, this bed is no where near worth the money. I am sending it back and trying something else.

Disappointed
I'm very disappointed in this Sleep Number Bed. Prior to making this purchase I had tested the Sleep Number beds in the store. Of course they felt wonderful in the store, but the price was keeping me away. This one sounded similar to the model I was thinking of purchasing and saved me a lot of money. Now I know why. It's extremely uncomfortable, the pillow top is not as I had envisioned, standard sheets do not fit, way too big and won't stay on the bed. I have yet to sleep the night through and am stil waking up with a back ache. I live in a condo and had no where to store the boxes, plus I was confident that I was going to love this bed and disposed of them. I'm now stuck with a bed that isn't any better then what I got rid of and is going to cost me a lot of money. Assembly time of one hour is a joke. It took us three hours to assemble and tools are definitely required. Such a disappointment!

so far so good
We've only been sleeping on the bed for a week. My husband, who is the troubled sleeper, found his number within a few days and is very happy. I am still zeroing in on mine, but am happy with the purchase.
We let the components air-out for a few days before assembly. As with any new piece of furniture, it had a very unpleasant chemical smell and needed to out-gas. Assembly was very simple. In fact this was the best assembly experience of our marriage, which as many of you know, is saying alot!!
Our regular delivery man has asked me to let him know how we like it. He says he has delivered many over the years and has not returned one yet.

Right in the middle
Like another reviewer I too had watched the Sleep Number Bed and waited until the right time to purchase. The bed arrived in 9 boxes! It is a king, so some boxes are too heavy for one person to carry. I watched the DVD and felt ready to assemble. BTW, I am a woman, 58 and yes, I am in shape (P90X) and a former Army helicopter maintenance officer. I read directions and know how to assemble products. I felt it was much more difficult to put together than shown by the smiling actors on the DVD. The cross beams do not slide in easily. Two remotes, not sure how to sync the second remote, it is not addressed in the directions Now, the sleeping. My husband slept well, however he always does. I believe the first night I did not move around as much as I usually do, however I did have a bit of back pain. I did change my setting slightly and this morning I once again had a bit of lower back pain. I will tweak to see when I get the right firmness. I will be patient and try to find the correct setting for me. I do like the look of the bed (I purchased the legs) and do not think that it looks cheap. Stay tuned, I will write another review in a few weeks.
