H193313 - Northern Nights Gianna European Flannel 320 GSMQueen Blanket
My husband and I both love flannel blankets when its cold here in the Winter and these didn't disapoint. High Quality, large and so soft. Love these
If you are looking for a 100% cotton blanket with quality workmanship, this one is for you. It's really difficult to find a natural fiber blanket. I have the chocolate brown and blue and both are lovely.
This is the best blanket ever!
First of all I am a very frugal person. When I saw that the original price on this blanket was $104.00 I thought to myself, "Who in the world would spend that on a blanket"?
Well, I would.
But I didn't. :) It was on clearance price and I love it. Very high quality. It is 100% cotton. Washes up beautifully. It is very warm and cozy. heavier in weight than those polar fleece blankets and with NATURAL fibers. What a concept!
This is the best blanket ever.
Knowing Northern Nights was advertising this blanket and I wanted a flannel blanket, I ordered the blue. It did go back. It really started coming apart in the washing the first time. I had blue flannel all over my inside washing machine. I was also disappointed that it wasn't finished the way Nothern Nights quality. Wanted a flannel blanket, just keep looking
Superior Flannel blanket
I purchased the purple Northern Nights Gianna flannel blanket and am very pleased that I had! It is very substantial in weight. I like the richness of the purple color. Because I have a front loading washing machine, I did not have any lint issues some buyers have mentioned in earlier reviews. I also dried the blanket without a problem. Yes, I did have to remove the lint at least twice from the lint trap, but that is to be expected with fine flannel.Because the weight of theblanket is substantial , I would recomend that one washes this blanket alone in a front loading and/or commercial washing machine.
I have other flannel blankets, a few from that famous German company, and I have to say ladies, their flannel blanket does not compare to this northern nights blanket. I liked this blanket so much that I purchased two more and plan on buying more of them. A blanket at this price and quality, you simply cannot have just one!
Pet Lover's Blanket
If you're like me and have animals that commandeer your bed, this is perfect. Lightweight enough to easily be machine washable, but durable enough to withstand pets clawing and even digging at it! I will pill, but the pills come right off revealing your still-very-much-intact blanket. And the color is lovely.
Let's get back to appreciating cotton!
LOVE,LOVE,LOVE!!SO soft .I like cuddling with it.Our cats love, too.I have a newer front load washer and dryer, don't know if that is why a did not notice extreme lint.I had some but flannel always sheds a little more then other fabrics. It is thick and great quality.I am glad I ordered seaglass for Master queen bed(ordered queen size) as full fit but pulled up sides when used by 2 people at night.I ordered parchment for living room throw because i liked so much, only in full size;it is big enough to wrap around myself but no too big to be to bulky.I ordered 2 other parchment for children.I like the color, very organic looking to me.It matches anything, not dull to me,as stated by other reviewer.Well worth the money.Great to have no shipping charges.
Not to happy with this purchase. I thought it would be nice to have on the bed during the cooler days, but I had to add another blanket just to keep me warm. Lets not talk about all of the material that came off during the wash.
not bad at clearance price
This blanket pills more than any item I have ever purchased. If you purchase this blanket, expect to wash it at least three times before the pilling stops. I would also suggest stopping the dryer half way through the cycle to clean out the lint trap during the first two dryings. Once that was under control I was very happy with it. It is warm and soft. I am glad I paid the clearance price, though. For the regular price I probably would not have been so patient. I hope there will be more flannel blankets offered in the future, but without the excessive pilling. I would like to see a true Ivory option as well. The parchment color is more of a light brown shade than an off white.
I think half of the blanket washed away in my washer and dryer. I've never seen anything shed half its material. I had to set the dryer for every 10 minutes, because the lint filter was overflowing by then. I washed it twice, and it's still problems. I haven't sent it back because I'm using it as an emergency blanket for my car. I'm sure I'll never use it.
I purchased a queen size for a full bed because I wanted one that was big enough to tuck in. It was too large so I returned it and ordered a full size. I tried it on to check the size and it was large enough to tuck in and cover the sides. Then I washed it in cold water and dried it on low like the directions said. Now all ther is to tuck in is about an inch and not much on the sides! It gave off piles of lint so I had to keep cleaning out the dryer vent. Maybe it just might fit a twin size bed.
I think most of the other reviewers put this blanket on their beds before washing it. I have washed it 4 times and it is still pilling and shedding. I think that is at an end, though. It is nice and dense and a heavyweight flannel. I purchased the ivory color and it is sort of blah. I wish I had bought a color.
