All I did when I got it was to use my microfiber dust cloth on it to shine it up.
Lamp and shade are very high end looking....I really love it! Marshamellow

Pretty Lamp but poor quality control!
My mother purchased two of these lamps and I purchased one. We both agree they are very high-end looking and stylish and also a great deal for the money, however, upon opening all three lamps had visible flaws on the silver base. There were rust marks, bubbles, scratches--doesn't anyone check these lamps before packing? Returns are such a hassle. My mother returned both lamps but I am keeping mine as the flaws on mine are small and not as noticable.

Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous!!!!!
Oh my goodness!!! I was so nervous opening the box, as I have been looking for great quality expensive looking lamps (on sale of course) to put on our nightstands for over a year. But WOW, the lamp (base) is just so beautiful, shiny, and extremely rich looking. It reflects the light from the shade and casts a beautiful glow above and below the shade. It looks like I paid $300 just for the base. The shade is very tasteful and the silver colored fabric edging ties the shade to the lamp it also makes it look much more custom made. I am a new Linda Dano fan for life!!! Thanks to all the reviewers who gave me confidence and helped me make my decision!! You can actually change the shade if u need to match a different decor- it is kind of a yellowish beige when not lit and absolutely glows! But I could never find a base this nice for the price. I just took it out of the box, put it together easily, and cannot stop staring at it. Even comes with a bulb. How nice. Unfortunately, the 2nd lamp shade had a stain on it- but I called customer service and they are sending me another one. No biggie- that's life. Buy this lamp- it is much better than anything they have at P%ttery B$rn !!!!!!!! Thank you Linda Dano!

Beautiful Lamps
i'm so glad i read the reviews on these lamps because i was concerned about the chrome finish. they are very beautiful and elegant. the ivory shade gives off a warm glow and the chrome brightens up any room. you could put this lamp almost anywhere in the house. i am torn between keeping them in my bedroom or moving them into the living room. linda, please bring more lamps of this quality.

ELEGANT, CLASSIC BEAUTY
Love this lamp. Ordered one with my lovely EZPay coupon from QVC. Liked it so much, decided to buy the second one without waiting for January to use my second EZPay. It is beautiful. Just the right size. Gleams beautifully. Works in any decor, I have a very neutral color scheme in my home, lots of white, ivory, very pale pink, lots of silver and mercury glass and this beauty of a lamp fits in beautifully. Love the fact it comes with an eco-friendly lightbulb, so it's ready to go out of the box. Looking forward to receiving my second one and having a complete set! Just beautiful.

Wasnt sure, I couldnt make up my mind to buy this lamp, then it went on sale and I went ahead. I just received it and the shade is so classy, I really like this piece! Going for an old world decor theme now but with updated class!

Delighted!
Bought two of these to use on top of a wide entertainment console. They are simply "retro-right" in every aspect,, and the bulbs that come with the lamp give off a nice "glow" through the band shade. So different!

I would buy more if I had the room
Purchased this for a side table in my living room and it really added polish and sparkle to a darker corner. Just beautiful and very well made.

Good Looking Lamp
I just received mine and let me tell you, I am so happy I purchased it! This is one good looking lamp. It's in my dining room now but I could move it later to any other room. Great Style .... Thanks, Linda! ... who's better than you?
