New FIreplace for NYC Beach Cottage Apt
Wonderful experience.
My new Strasburg fireplace has changed my living space and my life. It is wonderful to look at and it is elegant. It is realistic and gives off a peaceful meditational ambiance without the craziness of having to clean a flue, buy wood, smell soot, or worry about house fires etc. It is not cumbersome and it arrives assembled and ready to plug in. You don't have to turn on the heat to run it....you can run it and just enjoy the embers and flames. But if you do need the heat, it can warm up a NYC apartment to toasty.

Fireplace...I took the plunge
Whew...let me tell you. I researched and researched for an electric fireplace. I am person with a beer budget, with Champaign taste. The price is great, but the shipping and taxes is what kept me looking around. Well, I knew I would not be happy with any other fireplace so I made the purchase and glad I did. It's not only a "heater" but a beautiful piece of furniture that blends well with my dark cherry bedroom set. The flames and logs are beautiful as well... considering its electric.
Only drawback that I notice is that it seems like it puts out faint cool air with the heating air. Strange...I know, but it does. The thermostat works like a charm. Even with the cool air, it keeps my room warm.

Fragile
Be very very careful when you remove this from the packaging. I read the other review and delicately lifted it out of the packaging, but the frame still split in two. Still giving this three stars for two reasons: the heating element itself is awesome and has great features like temp control and sleep timer and QVC customer service was very helpful about offering to either pick it up and replace for free or offer a partial credit. I opted for partial credit and will have my dad rebuild a solid wood frame.

Unhappy
Got this Fireplace and had to send it back the next day for one whole corner was broke off. I am waiting for another one and hopefully it will be fine.

One of Best Purchases from QVC!
I had this fireplace on my wish list for quite some time before finally purchasing it. Mine arrived in perfect shape and is more beautiful than I imagined. The fire is just stunning and I love the ability to adjust the 'flame' and the heat output. I also researched this product on the web and have to say QVC's price was by far the lowest. I am so happy with this fireplace and can't wait to snuggle up with a throw once we get the first big snowfall here in the midwest! Thanks, QVC!

Strasburg fireplace
I purchased the heater for my bedroom and I love it. I did place my 32" flat screen tv on it and have had no trouble. I also love the you can set the temp. so that the heater doesn't run constantly. Can't go wrong with this fireplace.

love Love LOVE it!!!
Warm, cozy and quite romantic! The flames are soooo realistic! Warms up the room in seconds... Very easy to assemble because it requires no assembly at all... Just open up the box and plug it in! I originally bought this for my bedroom buuuuutttt my family fell in love with it, so it has not made it past the living room.. Guess I will be purchasing another one :)

I recently moved into a little cottage. I am short on space and was looking to supplement the cost of the oil tank fill - ups. I ordered this on easy-pay and it was delivered yesterday. All I can say is love love love this fireplace. My cottage is small; essentially just one big room and not much in the way of wall space. This fit in perfectly in my living area and was easy to install; just plugged it in! This is beautiful beautiful piece. As far as I'm concerned, this was money well spent.

Third year (winter) with this heater and I love it. Everyone that comes into my den and sees it, also loves it. I also saw it in someone's house and had to have it. I am so glad. Enjoy.

GORGEOUS AND STUNNING
The "ambience" of the fire is so beautiful and I cannot believe the amount of heat that comes out of this fireplace! I just turned this on the other night when there was a little "nip" in the air and it really warmed my living room up perfectly without having to turn on my central heat. It's prettier in person and I was pleasantly surprised at the workmanship of this piece. I have shopped around and find this price unbeatable! It is an elegant addition to my home and I LOVE IT! OMG, I might just have to order another one!

Excellant Buy
I love this fireplace. Was as simple as opening the box and plug in to use. It was shipped and packed well. I would recommend this to everyone. Great product.
