Awesome Product
Reading reviews is great to do however I suggest trying it and seeing for yourself! I bought the Dyson 33 and couldn't be any happier. My carpet is 5 yrs old and was starting to look worn. After using the Dyson once it looked new again. I'm not just saying this. I will admit using the hose is not the easiest to use but the power of the Dyson is well worth it. I will never use any other vacuum.

love, love, love it!!!
I have had my dyson for awhile now. I love it. have bought several cheap vacuums. They would work for a couple of months and then bite the dirt! I have RA and this vacuum is light enough for me to carry around. The suction is awesome. And QVC made it possible for me to own one with easy pay. I brag to everybody about my Dyson. There are some things that aren't perfect but compared to my Bissell I had, I can live with it. Thank You QVC

Not a good choice
I bought this vacuum based on the wonderful reviews that Dyson has received. Unfortunately I am returning it. It was very easy to put together, however, I have hardwood floors with large area rugs. This vacuum does not like low pile area rugs, it made a horrible noise while vacuuming - it was not a small rug but a 9x12. . I did use it on a wall to wal rug and it was OK but I need something that can work on everything, not just wall to wall.

I am happy with my purchase
It was simple to put together. I have only used it a couple of times, but it works like a champ. Suction strong enough to struggle to have to yank the attachment from the wall when vacuuming down spider webs. I did a little research, so I knew it would make some noise when vacuuming a rug not secured to the floor and also the struggle with the extension of the hose (which I did not think was too bad). QVC makes this a better buy by offering the installment payments; otherwise, I would never see a Dyson in my future!

Worst machine I have ever owned
The only good thing about this is that it really has good suction for picking up dust and hair. The retractable cord is always"retracted" .. if you want to burn calories while you clean this is the machine for you! You will get a great work out while trying to keep the hose extended.

Overpriced and Difficult to use
This vacuum is cheaply made and a nightmare to use. When using the extended tube the tube constantly retracts back into this machine. I spend more time adjusting than vacuuming. I will give credit to the suction however I have only used it twice. I have gone back to using my hoover.

Annoyed!
I have shopped with QVC for years...first review. Bought this 8 months ago on a recommendation for Dyson's suction capabilities. This relative had seven cats...I have 2. Also, I have all hardwood floors with exception of stairwells and one 8x11 area rug and a few smaller.
Wish I'd read reviews...always do now, if there are any. This vaccuum is unwieldy, especially on stairweels, as I've resorted to using the canister, NOT the hose attachment on stairs, as was shown on TV. The hose suction is worthless and the hose twists and pulls continuously. Worse yet, the suction at various points leaks (I can feel this with my hand), and the piercing, whistling sound is extremely annoying. I have tried to adjust the canister, but the noise returns. I would return it for the noise alone, but as I've gathered from reviews, is it worth it for the price of return or repair?

Family of 6 with 3 cats. Dyson Rocks
Great Vacuum. Wouldn't own another (although I tried Electrolux, Hoover, etc.). It IS a beast because it is supposed to be. Unless you have new carpet, the first week you use it you will be pulling stuff out of your carpet from other lifetimes. Also, keep the filter washed. Get an extra one to have washed, DRY, and on hand. My family of 6 empties the bin after each use and we always marvel at how much dirt we can pull up. I know countless people that own different models and they all love them. This is a tank and if you take care of it it will last.

very disappointed
This vacuum has already lost suction. It will not even pick up a piece of lint. Not easy to use, attachments are hard to figure out and heavy. I am also disappointed with QVC because they made it look so easy but nothing is easy about this cleaner. So much money wasted. Dyson needs to look at these reviews and give a refund. I am going to email them as well. Do not purchase.

Better Than I expected
I got this dysonDC33 to replace another well known vac that just didn't have enough power to get the cat hair out of the carpet. Very,very pleased with this machine. I have a black cat with very long hair and a cream color carpet. This machine is easy to use and light enough I can move it easily, It was not hard to put together at all,for me and though it take some pratice, once you get use to the attachments they really are great.I can reach places I have missed before and the baseboard and crown moldings are no longer such a chore.I had mine for about 6 months and it started to make a noise as if something was stuck in the head. We took it to a repair shop to have it checked out and with no hassle at all, were given a new machine. Thats what I call good customer service. I empty the canister everytime I use it and have had no problems with it clogging or leaking dust. If I had read the reviews first I probably would not had gotten this machine, but really glad I did. Two of my sisters also got this machine and they love it also.

Hose Nightmare!
This is my first review ever. The reason for writing this one is that I am so darned disappointed in this dyson. The way it was shown on tv, the ease of use with the hose and attachments was my reason for purchase... it looked so easy. But I got it delivered and have tried so many times to use the hose with floor attachment for hardwood floors. The hose will not loosen or release! Even if I unwind it multiple times as soon as I turn the machine back on it sucks right back up to the machine. Its a back killer and a nightmare to work with. Very disappointed. I don't see how they made it look easy on tv.
