Sunjet 150 Solar Kit by Smart Solar
not powerful enough
I bought this pump recently for a fountain and it barely has enough power to pump the water up and out the spout. The solar panel on the other hand works good but if you live in the pacific northwest forget it.
Very disappointing, not enough power to look good. Fountain sprayers not even and do not even make a good display. I have this in full sun and not enough power Will be returning this product especially for the price. They have the same one on Ebay for $15.00.
I was very excited to get a solar powered water spout. It is not very strong. The water pattern is not very pretty. It does have enough energy to move the water a little. I would have expected more power for the cost.
A real disappointment - sent it back.
The pump is functional although kind of whimpy, but the solar panel leaves a lot to be desired. I got it for my bird bath in the high desert - no clouds for days at a time and tons of sun in July . I found I had to keep turning the solar panel to "track" the sun....lovely splashing water for two or three hours, then barely a dribble. Turn the panel a few degrees and you get splashing again for an hour or so. Worked great
from about 11:30 until 2:00 without repositioning it.....not what I had expected. For this kind of money I'd think it should function as long as sunlight is hitting it, but nope - has to be straight on or you get nada. Gave it up and sent it back - bummer!
Purchased this kit several months ago to use in a small 24" deep water garden my hubby built for me to float my waterlillies in. Works like a charm...remember to clean the pump on a regular basis as debris will collect in the filters that surround the pump. Smart Solar I would suggest that you include a longer connection tube as it would give a wider range of use for this pump....
