H07971 - Northern Nights 400TC Supima 550FP Pyrenees Down QN Blanket
My blanket arrived in a crushed box and wasn't even wrapped in a plastic cover it looks like it was used and returned. there where parts of the blanket that was flat and had no down feathers and really wrinkled very disappointed in northern nights quality and qvc quality control.
Love This Blanket!
I have wanted a down blanket for a long time and I finally settled on this one. I am so glad I did. It is soft and warm and like sleeping under a cloud. I read some of the other reviews, but mine has no smell and plenty of down. The stitching is fine and I have not lost feathers, even during washing.
We liked the first one so much I bought another so we could each have our own. I have not had any quality issues with either of my blankets. No threads or feather loss.
Perfect Companion to a Cold Winters Night
LOVE THIS BLANKET!!! This is the 3rd down blanket I own, 2nd from Northen Nights. Bought because of rising costs of cotten. Not a fan of blends, which seem to be coming down the pike. I am a year round user of down in "PA". Never had Supima or Pyreneese and always wanted to try both. WELL... it is soooooooo soft....soooooooooo warm, but soooooooo light weight!! I have slept like a baby since placing it on my bed. NO problems other people complained about... No threads, no feathers coming out, plenty of down, nice quality. After all, it is a blanket not a comforter. This blanket is nearly as warm as my comforter, just much easier to care for (machine wash). No dry cleaner needed!!!! If you sleep warm, you may want to pass on this one. Gold color perfect match to my own comforter. Had a slight smell that went away in 1 day, it's due to being stored in a plastic bag. I am a happy shopper : )
Good thing I didn't order it as a gift...
This arrived via UPS, very quickly. When I opened it, the bag had been opened and there was lint and hair on it. I am sure it had been used and returned. I contacted customer service and they offered to waive shipping to return it. I did check it out carefully and it is nicer quality, but I had to drop it off at the cleaners today in order to justify keeping it. I just didn't want to risk getting another out of the box item, as it seems they are not tracking that very carefully. Unfortunately, the bill to clean it is way more than the $7 shipping. I guess its a case of 'you pays yer money, you takes yer chances.' Glad I didn't ship it as a gift.
My sister bought one of these about 2 years ago. She loves hers and I had to get this with the easy-pay offer! It's very light-weight but oh, so warm! I got the sage green color and it is such a calming and relaxing color. I have noticed a few small down feathers, but it isn't exactly what I would call "shedding". Just might have to order one for my daughter!!!! Great buy for the price.
I was excited to get this blanket because of the color (chocolate brown) and because of the design on the blanket (satin dots) but that is as far as it goes. I am returning it this weekend. The blanket is so thin you wouldn't think there is any down in it. Then there is the fact that there are down feathers coming out all of the time and believe me they show up on the brown color not to mention on my bedroom furniture!. Definitely not a good purchase.
Love this blanket!
I don't understand the other reviews. The blanket I received in chocolate is beautiful. Mine has plenty of down for a blanket and no smell. I didn't expect it to be as full of down as a comforter or a topper. Mine's been on my bed since the day I received it. Love it!
I agree with many of the customers. The only good thing was the color ;Sage. The stitching does not go to the end of thesatin .It feels like two sheets sewn together with a lot of squares with no down. Some of the threads are falling off.I thought Northern Nights was supposed to be the best.I guess that is why they are on sale.I kept the one I have but will not buy another.QVC needs to check on their quality control regarding Northern Nights.Very dissapointed in this product.
i had a hard time getting the smell out!!! i laid it out on my living room for three days, then had to wash it , still has a faint order, and i noticed that the squares are not sewn all the way to the outside edges!!! and feathers are coming out.. so i haven't made up my mind about whether its worth keeping!!!!
What is this?
After leaving the blanket out of the packing for 4 days the odor was still very strong. and sickening. Also ithe color was supposed to be ivory but was more like a pale yellow. I've returned this blanket.
Not like my other down blankets
I was dissapointed in the quality of this blanket as some of the squares on the blanket were empty. The down was missing! On a more positive note the supima cotton fabric was good quality. But the down needed to be distributed more evenly. I will keep it but will not buy another one.
